X-23 is my favorite hero to play in the game and I am always looking for new ways to make her feel fresh. Alot (not all) strategies revolve around Honey Badger for extra readies and this deck is not going to rely on that, instead it centers on a new ally Deathcry.

The Death Claw:

Death cry can reduce her consequential from 2 down to 1 by dealing a damage to your hero when she attacks. This provides another source of readying for x-23 which is what the deck centers on.

Not only do we want Deathcry out but we have a small voltron package for her to make her even stronger. Inspired jumps her up to a 4 attack and Reinforced Suit jumps her to 6 up. Leadership Skill provides another boost to her attack meaning we can get her up to 5 attack.

Call for Aid helps find Deathcry as there are only 2 Avengers in the deck meaning we have a really good chance of getting her turn one if we draw into one.

This deck can churn out a lot of damage with minimal effort thanks to Deathcry's attack value as well as how much X-23 can boost hers up. X-23 can get up to 5 attack with her claws and Claw Mastery.

Command Team provides more readies for allies meaning we can use our souped up Deathcry to deal out even more damage.

The dream scenario is to have Deathcry out at 4 attack with Honey Badger and command team/leadership skill in play as well. Play Cyclops targeting the villain to increase each attack by 1.

Play claw Mastery to jump X-23 up to 3 attack then pop her claws to attack for 6 thanks to Cyke

Deathcry hits for 6 readying X-23 to hit another 6.

Honey Badger attacks for 3 readying X-23 to hit for another 6.

Command team readies Deathcry to hit for another 6 finishing off leadership skill and Cyke hits for 3.

In total that would be 36 damage which is the higher end of where we can end up. Its not difficult to deal out 20+ damage in a turn however.

Supporting Cast:

This deck deals alot of self-damage with Deathcry, Grim Resolve and Clarity of Purpose but Endurance, Pain Tolerance and Regenerative Longevity help balance that out as well as offering multiple avenues to ready X-23 without popping the claws.

Make the Call is here to bring back Deathcry if she gets taken out or can bring back Honey Badger for extra readies.

Call for Backup finds Deathcry for us.

Team Training gives all allies one extra HP allowing us to keep them on board longer.

Pixie is a cheap ally who can pull Honey Badger or Cykr from discard.

White Tiger for card draw and solid stats.

Marrow cheap ally who bring a good chunk of damage.

Deathlok can pull upgrades from discard to put on himself increasing his effectiveness.

Other Considerations:

Children of the Atom was attempted to give X-23 the X-Men trait and allow her to give Deathcry Honorary X-Men but it was too much setup.

Sidekick was considered to add in more readies for X-23 but the focuse of the deck then became less about Deathcry.

Sidearm or Power Gloves could be added in to make Deathcry even stronger and allies could be dropped.

I'd love to hear any feedback or experiences with it!

Love a good voltron deck and I haven't really gotten a chance to mess with Deathcry yet. Great stuff as always, gonna add this to my very long queue of things to play!
