Reloaded, Repurposed! (Trash panda)
Rocket spends half of his time dumpster diving for parts to tinker with and repurpose. And the other half is spent doing whatever the heck he wants!

The main strategy is to quickly cycle through your deck and play your set up cards. The priority cards are: Leo Fitz, Thruster Boots, Particle Cannon, and Hidden Base. Leo Fitz is a particularly important card; you want him in play asap. He's my primary target for Build Support or Evaluate Threat.
The card that fuels your card draw engine is Energy Shield. Discard it using your AE ability to draw 2 cards, for free! If you have Leo Fitz in play, use him to draw copies out of your deck and put them into play. Oftentimes, I'll use Salvage to put more Energy Shields on top of my deck.
Once you are set up, Rocket will have 3 THW (Thruster Boots) and 2 ATK (Cybernetic Skeleton). You'll have C.I.T.T. in play, allowing you to take two basic activations each turn if you want (for a price). You'll also have some tech weapons that can do damage to the villain and minions.
Use Repurpose to do what you need, whether it's dealing damage or thwarting schemes. Ideally, you want to discard Energy Barrier because it will pump your stats by +2, as well as ready your hero. You can leverage the boosted stat by readying again using C.I.T.T. after you played Repurpose. If you have two copies of Repurpose in your hand, play both of them in the same turn, then C.I.T.T. as your last action.
You can also use Rocket Launcher, Battery Pack, and Rocket's Pistol as targets for Repurpose.
Repurpose is frequently played with lots of heroes. Yet, I like it in Rocket for the following reasons:
- Economy & faster set up: Rocket's AE ability can help him dig through his deck to find key set up cards which sets him up quickly (i.e. Leo Fitz, Thruster Boots, Heroic Intuition, Heroic Conditioning, and Particle Cannon). It's important to be set up asap. Moon Girl and Nick Fury help accomplish this too. Also, his hero ability allows you to draw a card if you deal excess damage to a minion. Since Particle Cannon has overkill, the excess damage goes to the villain.
- Manage health: Rocket's starting 9hp, 1 DEF, and lack of defense events makes him vulnerable to damage. Energy Barrier is useful for Rocket, and then he can profit from them using Repurpose to boost his stats - including DEF - for the round. Protection further helps Rocket's survivability by granting access to good allies, healing, and tough status cards.
- Capability to deal with minions: Rocket is able to deal with most minions that might enter play. Particle Cannon does 4 damage with overkill. If you have other weapons in play, you can do more damage. With a Particle Cannon and two Rocket's Pistols, you can kill an 8 health minion.
