An important rules note: Nick Fury discards at the end of the ROUND, not the end of the PHASE.

Per the Round Overview section of the rules reference the round doesn't end until after the end of the villain phase, so you can keep Nick Fury around to block an attack from the villain before he leaves play.

Nick is a great card, 95% of the time you should take the 3 card draw making this effectively a one cost card for 2 THW and a chump block in the villain phase. He almost always finds a way into each of my decks.

I think the only biggest downside of nick fury is not always getting full value out of his block. If you play him when the villain is stunned or when you want to change to alter ego he can be little underwhelming. But even then, 1 cost thwart 2 is definitely not the worst effect in the world. — L3w15 7 · 10607 4/21/21

Is it still normal to want to put Nick Fury into 95% of my decks? I really like him, and so versatile, although a bit expensive, but he really pays himself. 3 cards is always nice, 4 damage can really get you over that tough minions or those last few hp of the villain, remove 2 threat is maybe not that great, but can still come in handy in a pinch.
