Idea: There are two core concepts of this deck.

  1. Take advantage of Venoms setup ability and by adding Digging Deep and White Fox and no extra weapons to this deck you get a really good chance of having extra resource or even a free ally turn 1. (Even if you don't cash out on these, the Digging Deeps are wild resources that really help pay for Behind Enemy Lines, Grasping Tendrils, or Savage Attack and get the full effect.

  2. You're going to be blocking for yourself and a friend, essentially every turn, through your standard defense, events, stuns, and chumps (mostly events and stuns). You'll still get value out of Multi-Gun and allies. But the true power of this deck is to completely occupy the villain while your partner is free to essentially play without fear of the villain whatsoever, spelling the happiest partner you've ever had (bonus points if playing with your significant other).

Elephant in the room- This deck is not 40 cards, I like it how it is and wouldn't cut cards, due to Venom's set-up ability it really isn't going to go through its cards like a normal deck anyway but if you insist on playing at 40 I would suggest cutting Nova this is an expensive ally who can give you some cheeky damage but honestly you probably won't need it. Avengers Mansion expensive card and once you have Spider-Sense and Unflappable you'll have plenty of card draw anyway. Helicarrier is a card that is a little redundant, if you are ever short a resource you can use your Hero ability to generate it at the cost of a health point.

Upside- This is the ultimate buddy deck. You can defend for yourself and a friend just about every round and seldomly even take damage from those attacks. Venom is a very tanky boy and this deck takes full advantage of that health pool buy using his health as resource (with his Hero ability) to pay for defensive events while maintaining a good hand size to still play cards during the Hero phase, remember your Hero ability is once per phase so can be used in both villain and hero phases. With only the three weapons in the deck and the digging cards in there you will often get off to a super-fast setup with either extra resource or a free ally turn 1.

Tips and Tricks- Nova plus, your hero ability means you can kill anything that attacks you providing it only has 2 hp left. Your main targets for Jocasta are usually going to be either Never Back Down or Grasping Tendrils for largely the same reason of stunning. You would love to get both Spider-Sense and Unflappable into play as soon as possible, the extra card draw really lets you set up as fast as possible. You don't get a lot of value out of Run and Gun until you have all 3 weapons in play, so you probably have a better card to play until later. You want to stay in Hero form for almost the whole game only flipping down when you are really low, where with the help of Project Rebirth 2.0 you should still be able to heal up to full health with one flip down. Also, by the time you take that flip down the Villain should be confused, assuming no stalwart, with Behind Enemy Lines and Professor X. Given that you will be defending at least once sometimes twice every round you will get great value out of Electrostatic Armor if you can get it down. Some cards are in there just in case you are up against the hardest of hitters but other than those games you will most likely not even really need the extra defense you will receive from Armored Vest and Booster Boots. Black Widow is probably the only ally you would like to keep in play once you get it there, she is an absolute awesome emergency "no thank you" to the encounter deck and given Venom's hero ability and that this deck has a good amount of mental resource you shouldn't have a problem using her when you need her. Also, despite the name of the deck you probably do not want to play Symbiote Suit too early, you mostly won't need the stats and health it provides and it mostly won't be worth an extra encounter card round after round. But it can provide a boost to finish out an encounter or survive if you are out of other options, and even if not necessary like I mentioned earlier wild resources are exceptionally helpful in Venom decks to help pay for whatever specific Venom event you happen to need at the time so it is still useful in hand even if you don't need to play it. (Campaign trick- I like to play it to get my health to or over full health when I know the game is about to finish so I can start the next scenario with full health).

Final thoughts: If you have a friend that wants to play a squishy Hero say hi aggression Rocket Raccoon and Hawkeye or if they want to run some slow set-up Voltron or you just want to make a new best friend by protecting them from every-single villain activation then this is the perfect deck for you! While primarily designed for 2 players this deck is surprisingly strong in solo, you don't have to defend as much do to stuns activating against you instead of friends but this free's you and your Venom's Pistol to do some serious work in other ways. If you play this deck in either MP or Solo let me know how it goes and I hope you have a blast!

You may want to check the RRG ability section: "Player card abilities cannot resolve during game setup, unless prefaced by a 'Setup' timing trigger." Your first concept isn't actually a legal play.
