For my first published deck I wanted to try to come up with something interesting using cards I don’t ever run, so here’s Spider-Woman playing around with Enraged and Teamwork.
Step 1) play a cheap ally with high attack: Hulk, Wasp, or Wonder Man.
Step 2) Voltron with Enraged and Inspired.
Step 3) Use Teamwork to swing for a lot.
A 3-atk ally boosted with both upgrades will give you +6 on a single attack. With Combat Training, you’re at +7. With a Hand Cannon you’re at +9 with overkill. Add this to Spider-Woman’s usually 2 or 3 attack, that’s 11-12.
With the right hand you can pull some Sky Cycle/Earth's Mightiest Heroes/Self-Propelled Glide shenanigans and do this a couple times.
This deck’s biggest drawback is that it takes time to build, and drawing the wrong cards early really slows it down. Luckily, your hero kit has some great tools for stalling the villain. Pheromones and Contaminant Immunity work great to buy time. That’s also what Stinger, Ant-Man,and Bug are for (though Bug can also be used for Buggy things as you’re attacking a lot). Use Inconspicuous, your [usually] decent thwart, or possibly another player to keep the threat under control.
Best deck ever? Nah, but it’s fun, which is why I play.
