Falcon's Flight Squad Supremacy
Soar into action with Falcon's Flight Squad Supremacy, a Leadership deck focused on unleashing the full potential of your aerial allies! This deck isn't just about playing allies; it's about transforming your air support into a formidable force, maximizing all aerial character's ATK and THW values to dominate the battlefield, and supplementing them with flexible, diverse events.

VILLAINS TESTED AGAINST to refine the deck (9 games total; standard and expert against each villain; undefeated after refined after the first expert Klaw game game): Klaw (with an expert house rule(1)); Unus; En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse); and Magneto.
Deck Refinements: Numerous, so I'll note some key changes below. Note that the deck contains 18 aerial cards of the 40 total cards.
-
Removals:
- Angel
- Vivian
- Leadership Skill
- Reinforced Suit
- Captain America's Shield (Leadership upgrade)
- Captain America (title upgrade)
- Quincarrier: I just wasn't playing this card.
-
Addition(s):
- Both copies of Strength in Diversity: At it's worst, there are 2 traits available, but this can regularly get up to 5 or even 6, and it's not an attack or thwart.
- Face the Past: Falcon's nemesis minion, Viper, can be fairly brutal when combined with the nemesis side scheme, Serpent Solutions. Being able to draw 3 cards and ready Falcon can be well worth summoning Viper, whom Falcon should often be able to defeat immediately.
- Nick Fury
- Soaring Acrobatics
- 3 copies of Make the Call
NOTABLE ELEMENTS OF PLAY:
- Increased ATK/THW:
- Aero & Cloud 9 can give +1 ATK and +1 THW, respectively, to every other aerial character until the end of the phase, but a Flight Squadron activation can make that +2 per aerial character (and lucky timing with Talon Line, can make that +3).
- Battlefield Awareness can potentially do the same for Falcon each turn.
- Soaring Acrobatics
- Inspired: When placed on Cannonball, this can potentially stay in play the rest of the game.
- Key Supports:
- Falcon's Flock: A fantastic aerial resource generator that's limited to one per card but doesn't have to exhaust.
- Flight Squadron: To help ready either Cannonball for another another activation or Aero or Cloud 9
- Team-Building Exercise: Gets use pretty much every turn.
-
Key Allies:
- Cannonball: The goal is to keep him in play the entire game, dealing 2-4 damage or removing 2-4 threat.
- Aero & Cloud 9
- Nick Fury: To help with kit set up but to also make sure Cannonball always has sufficient aerial cards in your hand.
- Honorable Mention Allies:
- Adam Warlock
- Sunspot: Both Falcon's Flock and The Power of Flight contribute energy resources when playing Sunspot, deal 1-3 damage to all enemies when played.
- Redwing: Often provides late game essential damage or thwarting by "bouncing" back to hand multiple times, especially if one or more double-resource cards are in hand.
- Non-Attack Event Damage:
- Air Supremacy: An aerial card for potentially "cheap" damage due to resource generators in play or in hand.
- Strength in Diversity: An all-star card when needed for both damage output or major threat removal; removes toughs easily and can flexibly remove threat from multiple schemes.
Conclusion:
With Falcon's Flight Squad Supremacy, you're not just playing cards; you're orchestrating an aerial ballet of power and precision. Prepare to lead your enhanced flight squad to victory, leveraging every resource and event to ensure your enemies are always looking up in fear. Get ready to dominate the skies!
(1) Note on expert house rule for Klaw: This modification assures that expert Klaw makes for a consistently challenging villain during playtesting. After discarding cards at the beginning of the game and putting into play the first minion that is discarded from the encounter deck, if that minion is NOT a Masters of Evil minion, I search the encounter deck for a Masters of Evil minion and replace the original discarded minion with it. I then shuffle that original minion back into the deck.
