And Tough status cards on everyone's favorite British ally, Spider-UK
The goal of this deck is to make the best use of Spider-UK as an offensive/defensive option. The more Web Warriors you have, the more damage he deals when he defends. Keep tough on him as much as possible so that he can defend against the villain. Negating a villain activation and dealing 4-6 damage back is a consistently winning move.
Come Together
Right now... as soon as possible. In the first deck pass, Spider-Woman should focus on a few key cards in the following suggested priority
- Spider-UK, since the combo of this deck is built around him. Because of all the tough cards you're giving out, he won't sit idle for long (though he won't start dealing big damage until the other pieces come into place).
- Warrior of the Great Web and Web of Life and Destiny (though the web may need to wait if you happen to draw it first.
- Resource generators 2x Finesse, Helicarrier, Deft Focus, and Quincarrier. I rarely get all of these out in the first pass, but even getting two of the five is usually sufficient to play 2-3 cards per turn.
- More Web Warriors, particularly SP//dr and Spider-Man Noir.
- The Triskelion and cheating in Knowhere with Build Support to increase your Ally limit
- Team Training to give your web-warriors an extra activation each (also, they stay on the table a little longer, which amplifies Spider-UK's retaliate
Let It Be
I like building decks with redundancy and multiple pieces that serve the same function. If you can get even one of these combos online, it will give you the breathing room to continue scaling in power. Once all these combos are online, you're on track to win the game.
- Spider-UK and tough status cards from Ready for Action and Muster Courage. Muster can be pricey if the Villain doesn't have a stage number (e.g. Batroc, Hela, Collector), but when I consider blocking an activation and dealing 4 damage, I still find it to be a worthwhile play sometimes.
- SP//dr and Web of Life and Destiny. She can thwart for 2, return to your hand, draw a card, and get played back out to deal a ping damage. I like to keep this going the whole game if I can.
- Spider-Man Noir and Inspiring Presence. Once he's collected his treacheries, he can thwart for 3 with an activation, and Inspiring Presence can keep the train going. If you have an extra tough from Muster Courage, throw it on Spider-Man Noir and it's as good as healing for 1.
- Deft Focus and Finesse combined with Spider-Woman's best kit cards Pheromones and Contaminant Immunity. Miles can also serve a similar function, but is pretty pricey to play without other pieces of this kit giving you a discount.
Hello, Goodbye
If you manage to get fully built out (some games will be over before all the pieces Come Together), you can have up to 7 web-warrior cards on the board. Slow and steady, you will be able to defeat the enemy with the power of the Union Jack Honorable Mentions here include:
- Spider-Man can ready Finesse, but this isn't a tech card and there are other cheap spider-people
- The Power in All of Us, but the deck was big already, and while there are enough targets for it, playing grey cards doesn't give Spider-Woman a power boost. I chose to stick with the doubles.
- Band Together would be nice (since you're trying to keep allies on the board), but every Leadership card needs to be balanced with a Protection card, and I didn't really want to add more.
Hey, Jude
If playing this deck in multiplayer, there are a few things to consider.
- The weakness of this deck is threat (I find myself using Inconspicuous every time it comes up, and using Jessica's boosted stats to thwart with). If you're playing alongside a justice player, you'll have a little bit more breathing room.
- If someone else is bringing Quincarrier, let them have it. You can make do
- If someone else is bringing Build Support, great. One less card in your deck.
- If you're going to be fighting for the Spider-people, though, maybe you should negotiate and only one of you play a WoLaD deck
I won't be coming to the Con this year (waited to late to get tickets, now all sold out). But I hope you all have a great time, and I'll be sure to RSVP early for Con of Heroes '26

I'm pretty sure I can make it next year.. I kept trying to get my buddies to go with me and they were noncommittal. By the time I gave up on them, the tickets were sold out. I won't miss it again. |
I love the idea of this (both the deck and the Beatles references)! Spider-UK is such a great
offensivedefensive character. Slapping toughs on him seems really solid! I might even look for room for Hangar Bay to give him a chance to defend twice. Thanks for sharing your deck. Also, it's a bummer that you're not making it to the con this year! Hopefully you can make it next year!
