War Machine! The Machine made for, well... war. And war needs ammo, and of course, a place to get ammo from, like, a Munitions Bunker for example. The issue is, War Machine can't sign the forms to restock the munitions bunker wearing this massive armour of war, so he has to slip out of the cool suit and do some work wearing his cool army uniform [probably to impress the women working there 8-) ].
Because James is so cool, he made loads of friends in and around his favourite bunker. Agent 13, Dum Dum Dugan, Maria Hill and Kaluu to name a few. Seeing the potential of the group, Nick Fury assembled several more super-hero-good-doers and created a brand new and super-duper awesome Strike Task Force! Later on, realising that this would never be approved by the council due to high running costs, it was rebranded to The Sneak-Strike Task Force.
Nick Fury breafing:
Sneak-Strike Task Force:
Tasks will be allocated at deployment.
Mission Leader: James Rhodes a.k.a. War Machine!
Objectives: Get in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible. No lingering for even a second more than necessary, unless specified otherwise at deployment.
Sneak Attack might not sound flashy and heroic, but we are not in this business for fame and glamour!
We must screw our brains on and Save the Day, or Go Down Swinging!
Avengers Mansion will serve as a base of operations. Command Team, Quincarrier and Helicarrier will provide air support when needed.
If and when the conditions allow it, Leadership Training will be provided to everyone.
Everyone, GO!
I will not be writing a guide for the deck as it is self-explanatory, but let's get a tiny bit more technical:
The deck has a good mixture of Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. allies so you have options in both Hero and Alter-ego forms.
Sneak Attack allows you to play any ally for 2 effective resources. They do their job - Thwart or Attack, whatever is needed - and then either Go Down Swinging or Save the Day.
Black Panther is especially cool as you can Sneak Attack him, and he can pull the Sneak Attack you just used from the discard pile, and then Sneak Attack another ally. Or you can get one of the other events if they are more important for this phase.
As War Machine flips a lot to Alter-ego, Leadership Training allows you to shuffle your Leadership events back to the deck.
Enjoy the deck folks (sun).
The Black Panther Sneak Attack combo is really cool!
