Intro:


Pheromones is clearly Spider-Woman's best card, and it may be the best card in the game. It lets you avoid getting hit for a round, and then you can flip to AE since the villain is confused. There are lots of decks center around bringing back Pheromones through Black Panther or Leadership Training, but there's more to this deck than that.

When you add Ghost-Spider, Make the Call, Rapid Response and Spider-Man, you get a deck that can Stun/Confuse so much that you'll want to Bait and Switch as often as you can to clear a stun. Just so you can stun again...

With Web of Life and Destiny, you'll be bringing in as many Web-Warriors, and letting them get hit with Bait and Switch only to have them come back with Rapid Response. Since Web of Life and Destiny doesn't exhaust, that's as many cards in a round as allies that leave play. It's a dance that makes every round you play a dance of figuring out how to stun, draw cards, and leave the villain incapacitated.

The best part is this deck is also great against Steady villains, in multiplayer, and really works best solo at 43 cards. I'll outline how each will work.

Multiplayer version:

In 3 and 4 player games, Regroup is king. Add two more copies of it. Also add 2 Med Team. Throw in Leadership Training and Defensive Training You'll be the MVP of your game.


Steady Villains:

This decks works amazingly against Steady villains, too. You just don't want Bait and Switch as much. Replace them with What Doesn't Kill Me.


Thanos:

You might not think this deck would work well against Thanos since he has Stalwart, but it does. Just ignore Pheromones, use the 43 card version, and concentrate on putting out as many allies as you can. Thwart when you need to, block with allies, and you should win.

Am I correct in assuming that you get Ghost-Spider and Hobie Brown in play through Make the Call? Or is it easier to put Miles or Spider UK in play first?

@neothechosen Thanks! It really all depends on if you have Web of Life and Destiny out yet. If you do, then Make the Call can be better with Nick Fury or Maria Hill. But I'm finding more and more that you want Hobie Brown out as much as possible.

Like everything it's situational. With this deck, there's so much opportunity to get Pheromones out, that you may not want Ghost-Spider because it's already in your hand or attached to Black Panther.

One note on Ghost-Spider, she can help you set up Finesse quickly.

To me it feels like you are trying too hard to shove a web-warrior package into the deck of a hero that doesn’t want it.

The deck would seem stronger with a set of Avengers allies from P or A.

If you want lots of status cards, Tackle or Drop Kick + Martial Prowess will be more consistent.

Yeah... why in the world would a Spider-Woman deck want Web Warriors? What a completely obtuse pairing of cards... /sarcasm

In all seriousness, clever idea here @InigoMontoya to replay Pheromones but without needing to go alter-ego for Leadership Training. Usually I have a harder time figuring out which Protection cards to add to a SW blue/green deck, but these Web Warrior cards are a clever idea.

I'm also curious to try this idea using the upcomong Justice Web Warriors so I can include Swift Retribution to make use of the Confuses in the same way as you use Bait and Switch if I plan to stay hero all game.

On a larger note, between Regroup, Rapid Response and Make the Call, Black Panther, Ghost Spider (plus Gamora) give us some great tutoring options for digging in a deck to find cards we want. Pheromones is such a great card to spam like this. Well done here!

@celric Thanks for responding! Have you tried the deck? What I feel you're missing is that this deck does a great job of being stellar before you get Web of Life and Destiny, and then is just bonkers after it.

With Make the Call for Ghost-Spider and Black Panther, you're gonna be playing Pheromones at least 4 times during your pass in the deck. If you play the 43 card version (highly recommended), that ups to 5 or 6 times with Leadership Training. That's all before you start the card barrage that happens with Rapid Response and Bait and Switch with Web Warriors.

@teamcanadahockey2002 Thanks, dude! I definitely recommend using that 43 card version that has Leadership Training in it. I also highly recommend going to AE as much as possible even in the 40 card version because of Jessica Drew's Apartment, and the extra cards. This deck spends a lot of time in AE. I should make that more clear in the write-up. :)

I love the idea of using this same concept in Justice! There are so many great cards for Spider-Woman there.

It's played a lot like that deck except you use Blade and Lockjaw to soak up all the useless Hulk cards. :)

@InigoMontoya I would also flip every turn in this deck. I usually play 2 or 3P so we can normally afford one person down per turn.

Nice Hulk deck... shame that Limitless Strength is Hero only right? An extra 3 resources pretty much means you have to flip that turn.

I wanted to ask about Great Responsibility there? Since its also hero only, are you using it just to prevent the 1 threat added to start the villian phase?

Personally, I adore Homeland Intervention... such good value. Without knowing your strategy for Great Responsibility, I would initially be inclines for 3x of

To be clear, this is a deck built to stay as Bruce Banner the whole game (or flip to Hero once). So, Limitless Strengths get discarded when Bruce uses his AE power.

Enhanced Awareness is a placeholder for Ingenuity from Ironheart's deck. The deck took out Rhino so far. It was amazing watching him lose to puny Bruce Banner with two Charges and a Enhanced Horn that never got used.
