This deck is based on the deck, "Clickbait 1000 Damage!!!!" Since assembling Ms. Marvel, Sidekick and Side-by-Side basically wins you the game, this deck's entire purpose is to get them before you lose.

The way the combo works is like this:

  1. Exhaust Ms. Marvel and Nova, readying Supernova Helmet.
  2. Use Supernova Helmet and one other resource to play Side-by-Side. If Ms. Marvel has more than one health, increase their stats. If she only has one health, heal them.
  3. Exhaust Ms. Marvel to return SbS to your hand.
  4. Use Nova to attack (or possibly thwart), untapping his Helmet.
  5. Repeat 2-4, spending one resource per untap.

Ideally Ms. Marvel has full health when you begin so you can give Nova an eventual +4 to stats, so his attacks do more and more damage.

If on the turn you "go Nova" you can't defeat the villain instantly, destroy all the minions, side schemes and bring the main scheme down to 0, then switch to Alter-Ego and Recover twice, bringing Ms. Marvel back to 5 hit points, then do it again.

Great deck! Love the loop, but I think Side-by-Side requires that you make the same choice for both character. You can boost both their stats, or you can heal them both, but you can't boost Nova's stats while healing Ms Marvel (which you have to choose to keep the loop going). Maybe Morale Boost? Or everyone's favorite Symbiote Suit?

@Footballcoach Heh, I screwed up in my write up. You want to start with Ms. Marvel having as much health as possible. When you use Side-by-Side, if Ms. Marvel has more than one health, increase stats and let her lose a health. So if she started with five health, the first four activations will give you +1, +2, +3 and +4. On subsequent activations you heal instead, and stay at +4.

@Footballcoach You could use Symbiote Suit, but since assembling the combo wins you the game anyway, I chose instead to have more card draw. Morale Boost reduces the amount of times you can do the combo by 2, so it's not worth it.

@nerman8r now I understand the writeup. I had actually forgotten about the extra health granted by Sidekick.

I would still be looking for some stat boost for Nova. If you've done this combo once, Ms Marvel will be down to her last health. And after that point, you're restricted to Nova attacking or thwarting for 1. Every use of side by side will ready him, and then he can activate again... But three (discounted to 1) effective resource cost to attack for 1 doesn't seem like a good deal. Moxie might be a good option if you have the chance to flip down (you'd use it on the way back up)... But you'd have to back recover to heal ms marvel. Which with this combo is probably a good deal.

@Footballcoach I've played with this deck and it's pretty effective. When you go nova you can clear the board so it's safe to flip down and recover twice, putting Ms. Marvel back up to 5 health so you can do it again. If you have Jesse Alexander, flipping down even gives you another card, allowing you to do another cycle on the second nova turn.

I suggest giving it a try! :)

@nerman8r Oh, I can see it now. If Ms Marvel starts each big turn with 5 health, you could consistently stack stats. Great combo. I'll put in on the table at some point this week!
