This is for Boomguys recent episode on the Rogue ally.
This is a deck I have had on my mind since the Rogue ally was announced just had not played it a ton It's based on the time from the comics where Rogue stole Captain Marvel's powers.
The fun interaction here is Rogue can steal Caps power for the turn and we can use Caps ability to heal it right back and draw a card!
Rogue becomes a 4/4 and we have access to Protective Training as well as Game Time for more activations from Rogue.
So what is Cap doing during all of this? Defending of course.
Seems like an ill advised strategy with her 1 defense but in kit she has her Helmet which gives +2 defense if she has aerial. To give her aerial put on a Cosmic Flight.
Keeping Cosmic Flight on her also makes Crisis Interdiction somewhat playable.
To supplement her defense further we have Armored Vest to boost her to 4 and then will utilize Ops Room as well as Energy Barrier to reduce damage and deal some back/remove threat.
Unflappable lets us draw when we defend without taking damage.
So Earth's Mightiest Avenger just defends? Well Indomitable readies her and we also have access to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to use on both Blade and Victor Mancha.
Victor can also take a hit for us when assault hits and usually stay on board.
This allows us to get some readies and handle the board even if we don't have Rogue in play yet.
Med Team keeps Rogue alive as well as Cap if need be.
Once we've got Rogue with Protective out, we can get multiple readies out of her per turn. Touching Cap gives her Avengers trait so we can utilize Earths Mightiest on her as well as Game Time.
The deck has been really fun and performs well, I'd love to hear any feedback or experience with it!
