Another Minion Slayer deck! Why Shuri? She doesn't have any inherent advantages to a minion focused deck.

Well the new card Spoiling for a Fight readies your hero by pulling a minion. Shuri loves to activate allowing her to trigger her upgrades, not only that one of her upgrades the Kimoyo Beads can be discarded to confuse an enemy. So put it all together and we can slay minions to fill up Hall of Heroes and then confuse with the beads for a safe flip to draw from HoH the next turn.

Setup:

The main cards we want for setup are:

Hall of Heroes draws us 3 cards in AE once we have defeated 3 minions.

Queen Ramonda heals us for 4 in AE and can be exhausted in conjunction with The Elephant's Trunk for card draw.

Panther Claws deal 2 damage to an enemy after Shuri activates. These are an extension of Shuri so defeating a minion with it does give a counter to HoH.

Vibranium Suit transfers a damage from Shuri to an enemy.

Kimoyo Beads remove a threat from a scheme after Shuri activates and can be dumped to confuse an enemy. In solo this is even more important.

Aja-Adanna lets us shuffle back in an identity specific card. Shuffle the beads back after dumping them or keep looping Vibranium.

Ingenuity provides a resource.

Specialized Training can be cleared to grab an upgrade. I typically opt for Surveillance Specialist in solo to help with threat and in 2 handed I opt for Combat Specialist to boost her attack.

Target Spotter steals the minions away from teammates and stops quickstrike.

Martial Prowess provides a resource for attack events. Gives the kicker for Relentless Assault.

Gameplay:

Our gameplan is pretty simple, bring out minions to defeat with our events like Relentless Assault to deal overkill damage, Clawed Strike or Shuri's upgrades to fill up HoH.

With Spoiling, we can see multiple activations in a turn and even more with Battle Fury.

For example, we could thwart for 2 or attack and deal 2 damage to the villain with our claws.

Play spoiling to bring out a minion and ready up. Thwart/attack again and deal 2 damage to the minion with the claws.

Play relentless assault to overkill them and trigger Battle Fury to ready again. This would allows us to thwart or Attack for a 3rd time. If it's the 3rd minion we can dump the beads to confuse the villain for a safe flip down.

On the flip down we can use Ramonda to heal us for 4.

The next turn we can draw 3 from HoH and another 2 from Ramonda/trunk combo giving us an 11 card hand. Drawing into Moon Girl or Nick Fury can generate even more card draw setting up really strong turns.

For example against Expert Unus in 2 handed:

Shuri draw 3 from HoH

2 from Ramonda and trunk giving 11 cards in hand

Play moon girl to draw 3 (Ingenuity and genius)

Throg 2 damage

Clawed strike for 4 + 2 from claws

Shuri attack for 2 with combat specialist + 2 from claws

Spoiling to play a minion ready up Attack for 2+2

Relentless assault on minion for 3 overkill damage ready from battle fury

Attack for 2+2

Spoiling again relentless on minion for 1 overkill damage. Attack for 2+2

Moon Girl attack for 2

Wakanda forever 1 from suit and 5 from claws

Took out Unus full stage 3, 36 total damage.

The allies here help with survivability, both Thor and Throg can provide a tough for us.

Nick Fury can provide card draw entering play as well as a block for us.

Grant Ward is cheap and ingenuity can pay the cost for his requirements upon seeing a treachery.

Angela draws out a minion for us and provides decent attack

Moon Girl can only be played in AE but provides card draw and solid 2/2 stat line. Shuri also likes to flip so this doesn't hinder our strategy.

Other Considerations:

In solo I would add in a couple of Ready to Rumble and swap out Target Spotter. R2R is great for her you can exahust in AE to get an upgrade into play and then ready on the flip to hero.

The Dora Milaje are great but I tried them with this deck and I felt it performed better without them.

Full-Body Charge is great but expensive and since we aren't leaning into Honed Technique I felt better leaving it out. It could swap in for Clobber if you wanted to increase damage output.

I've been testing this deck since spoiling was first announced and been having a blast with it. It's performed well in solo as well as 2-handed. Triggering HoH has been consistent especially 2 player where it's not uncommon to trigger it multiple times in a game.

I'd love to hear any feedback or experiences with the deck!

Lol yeah that's the problem with getting to see the cards a month before they're available. I've been testing this for like a month and the Venom once since shortly after firepower was announced

Looks pretty great! I like battle fury, which gets offset by all her in kit healing. And she absolutely loves all this readying
