Part of my deck series for Con of Heroes 2025, where I am publishing each deck that I brought to the con. This is my fourth year at the con and I can't wait for more--this promises to be the best one yet!

This is designed around the physical resource and using Cap's two resource generators, his Super-Soldier Serum, to pay for events like Drop Kick to ensure the kicker is triggered. They can also pay for Jarnbjorn to add in more damage, and ensure that you never waste an resources at the end of your turn--just turn them into more damage!

Combat Training boosts Cap's attack, and we can ready once per phase to get use out of it. Physical resources in hand can be spent to keep Blade in play and healthy. Skilled Strike and Mean Swing can be spent as physical resources or can be used to boost our basic attack.

Allies are there for help speed up the damage: Blade attacks for 2 and can stick around, Wolverine heals and attacks for 3 with piercing, Miles does some burst damage, Mockingbird can stun and block an attack, and Deathlok pulls in Sidearm for more damage. AND ALL OF THESE CARDS are physical resources.

The only card we have included that isn't a physical resource is Hulk, which means he will almost always be hitting the extra damage trigger and attacking for 5--that's a likely 25 damage from Hulk alone!

Overall, this is a straightforward deck that I can run when I’m tired, when the game I’m in is more about socializing, or we are playing a scenario that I don’t know well and demands for more focus. It’s also one that has short turns due to not a ton of decisions—great for 4p games, or for sharing with a new player.

Get ready to throw some hands and enjoy Captain America!

I look forward to hearing how good Shield Toss was at Con of Hero’s (you all know the hashtag)

Nice deck! He's such a fun hero to play. One thing though: with 4 restricted item, you might want to add Side Holster!

@Goatzilla often I won’t play them all since the deck is focused on pushing out damage. I will often just play the first one out and then spend the others as resources. There isn’t a ton of build up with his deck!

Gave this deck to my buddy to play for his first 2 games last night. He had a blast doing all the damage while my Jubilee Justice deck handled all the threat. Thanks for posting!

@Ballin_Shane I’m glad you had a good time! This is low key one of my favorite Cap decks to play; he’s one of my all-time favorite heroes in the game. I play this deck (or a close variation) a lot these days!
