With this deck, you'll generally be wanting to do what the name of the deck says: defend you allies. This deck has some high value allies that can put in a lot of work if they stick around and ideally not be used as fodder. Since Venom has Grasping Tendrils and a potential 4 defense with his pistols, he is an ideal defender of the team. Though, Groot can also be a decent defender with a potential 9-HP. Additionally, if Venom defends, it's not such a big deal because he can sometimes ready up via Run and Gun or alternatively, still contribute to the board state with his Multi-Gun. Venom is also a good candidate for this deck idea as he has a good economy and the guardian allies are pretty high value.
Ally choices: (X-23 could be a good alternative ally)
-Adam Warlock: If you have spare cards, Adam can put in a ton of work. The healing is, particularly, good since he can heal up Venom who takes damage from using resources. He is a good candidate for Reinforced Suit or discarding it to heal up Venom. I'll usually toss Savage Attack with Adam for the thwarting by making sure it's the only card I have in hand.
-Beast: He's cheap when you grab a double (or potential triple resource in Band Together). Since we are trying to keep allies out, Band Together can usually be 3 resources which makes him an ideal target for a Rapid Response. This is one ally that we don't really mind if he dies to a chump block for Venom or a teammate.
-Gamora: She is additional economy + damage. She is one of the great targets for the Reinforced Suit or potentially a Rapid Response if she looks like she's going to leave play. Hopefully she'll find you a Run and Gun, Grasping Tendrils, Behind Enemy Lines, or First Aid.
-Groot: Just a high value defender. With Team Training and Reinforced Suit, he can have up to 9-HP and tank annoying minions for days. I don't usually put the suit on him, but it depends on the board state as always.
-Kaluu: A cheap defender that can hopefully find you one the events mentioned under Gamora. He can also chump block for a teammate or if you feel under pressure from side schemes and/or minions, allowing you to thwart for 3 or attack for 4 with your pistols. Can be a good target for Rapid Response.
-Kid Omega: A very useful ally... 2 cost, 2 thwart, 2 attack, and 2 health. Decent come into play effect. This is especially good if you get your nemesis minions in play as Kid + Multi-Gun just takes care of it all. The on demand wild from Symbiotic Bond shines here. I don't often use Rapid Response on him unless flooded by minions/side schemes. Not the highest target for Reinforced Suit.
-Nick Fury: Pretty useful for cycling cards to try and get Multi-Gun into play ASAP. When card cycling, he's a cheap ally. Great Rapid Response target for extra cards. Especially, in multiplayer so he can block for Venom and his teammate.
-Rocket Raccoon: 4 attack with overkill or 2 thwart is pretty high value. I will usually try and throw a Reinforced Suit on him if there is a minion presence in the scenario.
So, your allies will have some longevity between not chumping with some of them, Team Training, Reinforced Suit, and maybe First Aid on them. That said, First Aid is also very good for Venom. Since he will be taking damage from his Symbiotic Bond ability and can take extra damage for another wild resource via Clarity of Purpose, the healing can be very good for him. That said, he can also heal extra via Project Rebirth 2.0 and can sometimes flip down easily due to confusing non-steady/stalwart villains with Behind Enemy Lines. The deck just offers a lot of flexibility based on what the board state is demanding of the player.

This is definitely a cool concept. I like the idea of running venom as if he were a sacrificial team leader. If you're trying to keep allies out, have you considered maybe running Teamwork or Mass Attack? You get to use your allies stats without taking consequential damage. I know Mass Attack would move most of their use to attack instead of threat mitigation, but it could be a great final push.
