Summary
Ironheart starts slow, but is a powerhouse when she reaches Version 3. This deck offsets her early game weaknesses with insane card draw and strong, cheap thwarting.
Inspiration:
- MrMimiga's A.I-ronheart: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/19353
- MiguelCantillo3's Ironheart - Perfected: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/22253
Game plan
Ramp as fast as possible to Version 3 without losing. Then win.
Mulligan targets:
- Ronnie Williams
- Stroke of Genius
- Ingenuity
- Progress counter generators
- Card draw
Riri wants to flip every turn so she can generate progress counters and do hero things. Thwart aggressively so she can flip safely.
Key combos
- Moon Girl, Nick Fury, and Avengers Mansion generate card draw to quickly find key upgrades and progress counter generators.
- The Power in All of Us fuels the aforementioned cards while also enabling Champions Mobile Bunker, Helicarrier, Ingenuity, and Vivian.
- One Way or Another accelerates card draw at the cost of putting side schemes into play.
- Dispatch side schemes from OWA using cheap, efficient Justice events. Then draw from Skilled Investigator to further improve efficiency.
- Consistent resources and Ingenuity fuel Child Prodigy for even more progress counters.
- After reaching Version 2, prioritize Photon Blasters and Propulsion Jets to reap the benefits of Ironheart's scaling.
- Once fully ramped, just keep ramping. All of the progress counters get converted to consequence-free damage to obliterate everything in sight using V3's Maximum Efficiency ability.
Additional considerations
- Spider-Man can be replaced with Vivian, Mockingbird, or another ally/event as needed.
- Add Under Surveillance to avoid popping the main scheme.
- Extra copies of Skilled Investigator thin the deck and make teammates less mad about One Way or Another.
- Overwatch can easily generate 3 or 4 thwart in the mid and late game, but is weak early on.
- Lay Down the Law can be clutch when the stars align, but it's literally unplayable half the time.
- In 3 or 4 player games, some events can be replaced with Even the Odds.
