Float like a Fighter Pilot
Games:
My core-only Captain Marvel Decks:
This isn't really meant to be a "confuse-lock" deck, but it does Confuse often with several different cards...
- Dazzler - can be readied with Professor X if you don't need his Confuse
- Eros - minions only, but that comes in handy with Float Like a Butterfly
- Professor X - it feels bad to play the Prof if the villain is already Confused, so ready an X-MEN character instead for another attack: Chamber or Dazzler
- Spider-Woman
- Upside the Head - I prefer to use this when the villain is already Confused though to get the Stun as well!
- Sonic Rifle - I don't typically use this for damage unless it's final damage, but rather to get me a Confuse I might not otherwise be able to get.
...and takes advantage of the Confuse with other cards:
- Captain Marvel - of course, because she loves to go to Alter-Ego for crazy card draw!
- Float Like a Butterfly
- Chamber - With Float Like a Butterfly in play he attacks Confused enemies for 3 and doesn't take consequential damage, and he can be readied with Professor X if you don't need his Confuse
- Cypher - With Float Like a Butterfly in play he attacks Confused enemies for 2 and draws you a card
The deck runs three copies of Float Like a Butterfly because it has an resource. Having three increases the chance of getting one early, and subsequent copies can:
- fuel Energy Channel
- heal 1 damage from you and be replaced with your Rechannel ability
- be dumped for a new card (or two in Alter-Ego) with Alpha Flight Station.
Chance Encounter is a fantastic way to find the ally you want, and because it has an resource you can use it the same way as excess copies of Float Like a Butterfly (above).
Build Support isn't really necessary but it's a cheap way to put Quincarrier into play (not like she needs it with her economy), but it will also put Alpha Flight Station into play if it's stuck on the bottom of your deck.

Nov 08, 2024Really considering investing in all of the hero packs to build this. Might substitute some cards and try it anyway since I have the key cards. Sooner or later, I will have the whole collection. Too much fun not to get them! |

For a long time I thought Quincarrier only came in the Black Widow pack, but it comes in Wasp too (which also has Ironheart), and if you don't have either, Helicarrier is an easy sub from the core. When subbing cards, I think as long as you're subbing in resources the deck should run fine with whatever you have. |
Nov 08, 2024Nice deck! |

Nov 08, 2024Of course, and I enjoyed the video on Carol as well. I will give this a play when I have a chance. Love your content! |
An "expert" handling of Ebony Maw (pun intended).
