"This multiplayer deck builds an engine of recurring all-purpose counters on the most powerful S.H.I.E.L.D. supports"~D.M.Tip
Intel Briefing
Your top priority is to get The Circe in play followed by The Iliad and The Pericles.
Once The Circe hits the battlefield, you're ready to drop Dynamic Duo, grabbing Nick Fury and Super Spies. With The Circe, you can immediately play Nick Fury for free and then Super Spies to begin stockpiling counters.
Rules of Engagement
Normally, we want to keep Nick Fury around for as long as possible, keeping him alive with Field Agent and Med Teams. This is where we deviate from standard protocol. We want to immediately activate him, ready him up with Command Team, and leave him either open to block, or ready to activate again the following turn.
The reason for this is because we have 3x Dynamic Duos per deck pass that will help us grab him as part of its cost. Because we can play him with The Circe and immediately activate him, he pays for himself while we continue to stockpile counters on other powerful ships, like The Iliad and The Pericles.
If you don't draw into Dynamic Duo on the turn after Nick Fury enters play, you can choose to defend with him or keep him alive with Field Agent to milk out some more support counters.
Mission Debrief
No plan survives first contact with the enemy. To this end, you may have to change the order of the supports you or grab resource generators early on. You have the flexibility for this while you accomplish the mission.
That said, with a little setup, this deck can absolutely demolish scenarios and provide some incredible support to your team. The extra counters from playing Super Spies make it easy to keep your best ships operational.
There are several heroes that can easily benefit from Dynamic Duo due to their multiple signature allies like Hercules w/Thor/Thor, Ant-Man w/Wasp/Wasp, and Wasp w/Ant-Man/Ant-Man. It's a card that rewards such efficient uses. These heroes can use Dynamic Duo every time they draw into it because they can keep their signature ally in play while grabbing another to pay for their team-up card. I believe we can add Maria Hill to this list of heroes because of her easy access to The Circe.
While I went with Leadership, I could see variations of the deck working well with other aspects, so long as you are bringing Circe. Keep in mind that Command Teams are vital to keeping the machine running with Nick Fury and Agent 13 activations.
This deck is one of the first Maria Hill decks I've fielded and it has been a total blast. I'm looking forward to fielding it against more scenarios to push its limits in multiplayer.
Do you still play Maria Hill or are S.H.I.E.L.D. supports too strong with her? Let me know in the comments. Until next time...
Peace!
