"This team got a name?"
Fresh off binging the 3 episode premiere of X-Men '97 S2 last night and as a Jubilee stan you KNOW I was screaming for the entirety of E2. Not only did they let her shine but I was also treated to more screen time with my other X-Queens: Psylocke, Polaris & Emma. What a dream!
As a young queer Asian kid, Jubilee was one of the only few representations in popular media at the time for me. Obviously I drew parallels between being queer & the mutants but Jubilee was really the only character I felt a genuine kinship with. Seeing her discover and navigate the world of the X-Men made me believe that if she could be accepted onto the team, then maybe one day I could be as well too.
Coincidentally enough, my friends roped me into Champions right when her hero pack was released so it's all kinda meant to be. I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary with the game!
Anyways, sentiments aside, I was 'Like, totally!' inspired to make this thematic X-Force deck in honour of this episode. This is my first Marvel CDB post so here goes!
We're using Cameo to grab Psylocke. I think depending on your scenario, you could Sidekick her or Wolverine. I would lean more towards Psylocke and then popping Clarity of Purpose on her because her text box is basically a moot point and that'll literally give her some 'clarity of purpose'. Wolverine also has his built in recovery when you go AE anyways so I felt like Psylocke needed it more.
Once you have both Psylocke & Angel out you can use Soaring Hearts to grab your Jubilee events and get another activation on both of them. If all else fails, at least you still have the to use for her events.
Doing it for the plot: I included Band Together because it's most likely that we'll generally have at least 2 allies out on the field. This makes playing most of the 2-3 cost events in this deck super achievable. It was so satisfying playing a Multitalented, or a maxed out Grande Finale or Blinding Flash. And with X-Gene, Clarity of Purpose or your 'Like, Totally' resource generation, it was easy breezy hitting all 4 resources (, , , ).
I threw in Resource Reserve because honestly when else are we ever going to use this card lol. I used it to store a Band Together until I had a big play.
I also played around with Unified Strike and found it helpful as both Wolverine & Cable take 2 consequential damage when attacking so using this helped negate that.
I've played this deck once 2 handed with Venom Justice against Expert Iron Man and dusted him quite easily after weathering the storm in the beginning.
I'll probably make some more changes as I keep testing it out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Jul 04, 2026Never seen anyone use Cameo to get the proper allies for a team-up card. Very cool! |
Jul 04, 2026Man, I don’t like to be that guy. But you can’t play a team-up card unless your identity is one of the characters in the team-up. But A+ writeup and it’s a theme win! You just have to |
This deck is fireworks!
