This is the Hawkeye deck that I ran mostly solo Expert from Rhino to Stryfe (2 matches each). It doesnt have anything exciting and its not great against the top tier villains.
But what it does do is help cover his two biggest weaknesses...inability to manage scheme threat and live long enough to win. Leadership is the way.
Quick Short Bursts
Hawkeye isnt going to do well with a long build out and needs a game plan that can chip away at problems and go all-in before he turns his deck a second time.
We prefer to use his arrows to control the Villain activations so we want to avoid anything expensive that doesnt have a quick return. This is why we prefer TBE and the Tower over the Mansion
We want to play a cheap ally as often as we can and preferably something that can at least ping some threat.
Extra Blocks and THWs
Ready for Action can give us an extra cheap block which Hawkeye often needs. Similarly United We Stand can give us an extra cheap THW with Tiger or Hill.
Rapid Responsegives us some extra synergy with Av Tower allowing us to extend our Ally board to 4 when Marie is not on table which can be helpful if we are using the Tower to spam Bobbi.
Replaceable Cards and why I choose them in the original build
Leadership Skill is simply about efficiency when needed.
Mighty Avengers is just an all-in card and probably should be replaced with something more efficient.
You can certainly change the lineup bringing in Prof X or Nick but dont get to expensive and you should have room to play the right arrows.
How did I fare with Hawkeye?
With 70 solo expert matches I ended up 40-30 which is not bad Some key wins... Ultron - Legion of Hydra, Mutagen Formula - Masters of Evil, Arnim Zola - A Mess of Things, Red Skull - Hydra Patro), Collector A - Hydra Patrol, Nebula - Band of Badoon, Thanos - Space Pirates, Sabretooth - Zero Tolerance, Magneto - Shadow King
