This is a very powerful deck and also a very fun one!

Its focus is to rely on your upgraded allies to generate thwart. Your Bishop cards heal yourself, zap baddies, and land some big hits late-game.

Mutant Peacekeepers

Get out a squad of allies with high Thwart stats. Augment them with Mission Training, likely using the Danger Room. Thwarting for 9-14 points per turn is typical mid-game because they’ll all have Mission Training.

Conserve their health with Mutant Peacekeepers and the X-Mansion. Squeeze some more thwart mileage via Game Time. Note Husk and Randall can ready and/or heal themselves with certain resource spending.

Justice Served gives you a way to play Mutant Peacekeepers even if you’ve been exhausted by some nasty surprise from the encounter deck.

Be Good At Being Bishop

The key here is having lots of resource cards that fall into your deck from Energy Absorption. So we add in 8 more of those to have a total of 11 resource cards.

With one exception (see tips below) always use Mutant Education to recycle Energy Conversion! This card replenishes your draw pile with tons of resource cards. It’s your best way to do persistent healing, persistent damage, become Super-Charged, heal Husk, and heal Randall.

Piloting Tips

If either of the two key cards X-Mansion or Danger Room is in your discard pile, rush to reshuffle. If not, then follow the general strategy of stalling the reshuffle via Energy Conversion.

In case your signature Rifle or Uniform is discarded, remember to use your AE feature to fetch them.

One weak spot I’ve encountered is encounter cards that exhaust your identity. This negates your ability to trigger Super-Charged (mildly inconvenient) or Mutant Peacekeepers (major loss!). Conserve your sole Justice Served for the times when you were unexpectedly exhausted!

The Rest

What remains is opportunistic damage with Concussive Blast and Super-Charged. And opportunistic thwarts from Command Authority.

Alternative Card Ideas

Blindfold or Shadowcat are alternative allies, nearly as good as the ones included. Feel free to add one or pull Marvel Girl if you prefer them.

Sharpshooter could be good in a prolonged scenario.

As great as Game Time is for tempo, I do wonder whether the old-school First Aid would be a better option sometimes!
