Double dipping with Iron Lad
-
Iron Lad is young but extremely powerful. When you use Iron Lad's basic power, you also exhaust an Avenger ally and add that Avenger ally's matching power to Iron Lad's. So, Mighty Avengers double dips for both allies. So does Boot Camp. So does Lead from the Front. When you're all set up with Enraged plus the trio of cards above on your chosen ally, here's how hard they hit:
- Ant-Man and Iron Lad hit for 11. Captain Marvel would do the same, but please don't exhaust her like this. The thought of it makes card draw lovers cry.
- Hulk, Sentry, Thor and Wasp all hit for 12 with Iron Lad's assistance.
- Giant-Man hits for 13 combining with Iron Lad, and always stays above 3 HP.
- She-Hulk hits for 14, and never goes away.
Easy Set Up
-
Ant-Man and Wasp are free once Team Training is out. They're great Suit Up targets once you have Team Training since you'll be able to pay for Enraged with a 5 card hand.
-
Although Avengers Tower doesn't work on Ant-Man or Wasp, it's great for every other Avenger ally. Especially combined with two Finesse and a Quincarrier out.
Hit it again!
- To use the same ally and Iron Lad again in the same round you'll need two readies. So, some combination of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Command Teams. Note: If you want to swap in a Med Lab in a 4 player game, go for it. You may need to resurrect Iron Lad and can easily ready him with the cards above.
What a clever combo! Can't wait to see it in person at MC/DC
