I’m over the moon about Silk! She’s a bit of a slow spin at first, but once those tucked cards start stacking up, the payoff is silky-smooth. The deck has some specific combos you want with massive damage payoffs, but it's super versatile from the get-go while you spin your web. It’s also in her original aspect and takes full advantage of a few key new cards.

Should note that I'm an experienced player, but not a rules expert, so if I have any mistakes in here, please let me know!

EMERALD WEB

The biggest thing I built around is "Stop Hitting Yourself", which is an awesome new card that deals your DEF back to the enemy.

Best case scenario:

Silk has a base of 3 DEF

Armored Vest gets you +1 DEF.

Spider Reflexes gets you +1 for each tucked card, so potentially +4 DEF.

Some combination of Expert Defense, which gives you +3 DEF for 0 cost, and/or Desperate Defense, which gives you +2 DEF and a ready. Oh, and they are stackable. That's +9 if you get all three Expert Defenses!

Ingenuity and/or Helicarrier are there to help pay for it.

You're taking a lot of the villains out in one shot. It hasn't been uncommon at all when playing this deck to get 15-20 damage defenses.

One thing I love about this combo is that you don't have to spin your whole web before it works. It will get more powerful as you get your supports, tucks and upgrades put into play, but the Expert Defense + "Stop Hitting Yourself" is awesome from turn one.

THE OTHER THREADS

Not many allies in here because we want to be defending, but Spider-Man is there to get you more readies and Scarlet Spider just sits there and soaks damage for Peter Parker to keep getting you readies. Madame Web is really only in there for thematic reasons, you could easily sub this card out for just about anything.

There are four player side-schemes - this is partially to fill out the deck, and partially to make good use of J. Jonah Jameson. That's right JJJ, who's working for whom??

Taunt is there for card draw and is super useful when you are coming out of Alter Ego and thirsty for an attack to come your way.

For her hero kit cards, there really isn't any duds in there. You want to prioritize Spider Reflexes for your boosted defense, and Organic Webbing gets you a ready, which can be important when defending a lot. Swinging Silk Kick is ridiculously powerful, so even if you aren't killing the villains with your defense, this is there to take them out.

Super sick. JJJ is super nice. I've tended to struggle a bit with side schemes with defense decks. Very nice to have a dedicated thwarter for those. Love defense decks cause the game just ends before you know it. You're just defending and then the villain is knocked out lowl

@Pedroq Totally agree! I find myself falling for building the same Protection builds with all of the 1 cost upgrades that have been around forever, so this one has been a ton of fun as a change of pace.
