Strength In Numbers Ghost Spider deck. Build up 6 avengers allies then draw what you need to go all out with the Ghost-Spider cards.
Avengers and Strength In Numbers
Avengers are a staple set of allies for Strength In Numbers because you can build 6 allies on the board. The Triskelion and Avengers Tower increases your ally limit to 5. Stinger is your 6th ally because she does not count towards your ally limit. You cannot play Stinger outright with Gwen since Gwen isn't an Avenger, but you can put her into play with Make the Call. Once you have 6 allies, then you can draw an extra hand every time you have SiN. Drawing an extra hand gives you big turns to play all your fun cards. There are 2 main issues with SiN. One is that if you do not draw SiN then you're sad. You have a regular hand size and do not get to do much. Other issue is your allies are your draw engine so you want to keep them around for as long as possible. You don't want them to go down due to consequential nor use them to defend. Gwen helps address these two issues.
Strength in Ghost-Spider
Gwen gets to do fun things with SiN and shore up the issues. Gwen already likes to draw cards. Web-Bracelet will draw two cards per turn effectively going through 7 cards in a round. SiN will pump those numbers up to 13. Throw in some Assess the Situation and you draw closer to 14-15 cards in a round. You can cycle through half the deck every turn. George Stacy addresses the first issue of whiffing on SiN draw. Attach SiN to him so you always have a copy available. If you do not draw SiN then you can play the attached copy. Attach any copies that you can to George to keep your draw engine going. The second issue of unusable allies or fear of losing the allies is addressed by George and the Web-bracelets. Gwen doesn't mind if the allies are discarded. George can hold onto a Make the Call to recover any discarded allies and keep the board numbers up. Web-bracelets help us draw through the deck so we will see those allies back again soon enough. Also, the newer leadership cards "You Got This!" and Noble Sacrifice make great use of exhausted allies. Use You Got This! to add the ally's stats to Gwen and ready her. Use Noble Sacrifice heal any damage you've sustain and gain a tough.
Draw Nuance
Gwen can draw a ton of cards but she doesn't always want to. In regular Gwen play, you want a Web-Bracelet out as soon as possible. It enables her economy. Her events are 2 costs so you want a 6 card hand to efficiently play 2 events. That second Web-bracelet skews things where you are left with 1 card in hand. George helps with that by storing that one card if it's an event, but generally can be awkward. So, you don't always get both web-bracelets down or you don't activate each of them. Similarly with SiN. Generally you're going exhaust all 6 to draw six, but may end up with some unplayable cards. SiN similarly can draw just the right amount of cards that you need. Exhaust some of your allies, use your other allies to activate, and draw just what you need to pay for cards. Smooths out the deck cycling.
"Throw in some Assess the Situation and you draw closer to 14-15 cards in a round. You can cycle through half the deck every turn." This needs to be highlighted deck. Please rate and comment.
