This deck is an Agression deck through and through. If you like hitting hard and fast this deck is for you. Most villains go down in 1-2 times through the hero deck with this build. The aggro doesn’t even really suffer much from getting “setup” as Cap has such good economy in his kit already that you can setup WHILE hitting ridiculously hard and consistently.
As with most of my decks I run both The Power of Aggression and The Power in All of Us because I find the explosiveness it provide vastly outweighs the occasional awkward draw.
That typically means I want 6-8 cards from the aspect and from basic and those that are “re-useable” like allies or events are even more useful. This is where Clobber comes in. It adds to the count of cards that can benefit from The Power of Aggression. Additionally, Cap wants cards to discard so getting it back in hand is a nice bonus AND it’s a resource which can be useful here and there. It’s also why I added Martial Prowess to the deck which just adds to Cap’s already insane economy.
Also this is a good time to talk about how insanely good Thor is. This is one of the most flexible minions they’ve printed up to Wave 4. It can attack three times for 3 damage if needed which is fairly effective. If need be it can AOE which some decks really need although less so in this deck with Shield Toss. It can defend, hit for 3, then defend again which is also super efficient. All around top tier Aggression Ally.
As for the Basic cards, this is the 7 I tend to include in every deck where I use The Power in All of Us. I find the ability to play Helicarrier or Quincarrier or Avengers Mansion or Nick Fury on turn one often leads to wins as they are such efficient plays in getting the ball rolling. I also always mulligan hard for double resources. Spider-Man, Mockingbird and Ironheart are just super efficient and flexible cards.
I considered and tried running Jarnbjorn although I’m finding that I typically win so fast I rarely have time to play it. Might switch it in over time or for grinder scenarios.
