This is my attempt at a precon plus for Nightcrawler. He's been really fun to play, and I think he may be my favorite hero of the X-Men run, if not the entire game. Ignore the 7 packs required, I threw in some cards I really enjoy but you really can build this deck with just Nightcrawler and the Core (though Galaxy's Most Wanted has Hard to Ignore and MAN is it a nice card to have... if you're going to really make this deck, I highly recommend that one set as well)
So lets talk strategy. You're basically trying to Bamf! everything you can, and using cards like Armored Vest to boost your defense to take even less damage. This isn't a "Perfect Defense" build per se, but you can get pretty darn close. Klaw had a few punches through the armor but I still never had to flip back to Alter-Ego on Standard. Cards like Electrostatic Armor are really nice for this too, so you can hit back for a couple damage. Cards like 'Port and Punch REALLY pack a punch when you're set up, hitting the villain for 6 if you can Bamf! him first (which you should be) Astonishing X-Men is really nice too if you can pop it at the right time, and just shut down the enemy side of the board for a turn for a breather if you need to hop into alter-ego to heal or just recover so you can take out a minion or two. Most other things are situational and I highly recommend customizing it with whatever is in your collection. The upgrades are where most of the variance in packs is on that list, so just use what you have or enjoy playing with. Dropping a Forcefield Generator for an extra Hard to Ignore is probably best anyway, I just like certain cards. Also, if you have X-23, adding in Specialized Training is 100% worth it, I just recently got that pack and so it didn't make this decklist.
I do want to make a comment about Azazel, I swear I have pulled my nemesis on Nightcrawler more than I ever have on any other hero. The fact that he has quickstrike REALLY hurts your turn, and if you're already tapped from blocking another minion he's taking a third of your HP with him. This deck doesn't have retaliate 3, I haven't found a great way to get there, but if you can do it then I recommend it just for your nemesis. Once he gets added to the deck, he'll be popping up a few times depending on how far along in the scenario you are. When he does come out, do everything you can to not activate during the villain phase, again him hitting for 3 is a third of your life, and he has quickstrike so you need to always be prepared. He's also a prime target for your 'Port and Punch, you can Bamf! a villain or minion and just hit Azazel and send him back to the discard.
