Introduction

This deck, designed for use in a duo team-up with this Iron Man deck, is like a buddy cop movie where the heroes don’t just bust bad guys—they blow them up with high-tech gadgets and enough firepower to make a small army blush. War Machine and Iron Man, the dynamic duo of destruction, are here to teach villains why messing with them is a terrible life choice.

These team-up decks were tested against Expert Ultron. Neither Tony nor Rhodey even broke a sweat.

Team-up 1

Core Strategy

This deck is all about synergy, much like Tony Stark and James Rhodes themselves. Picture Tony tinkering away in his lab, and Rhodey, the man with the plan, standing by, waiting to drop some serious ordinance. War Machine's Gauntlet Gun and Munitions Bunker are like Tony’s endless bank account and Rhodey’s military discipline—together, they fuel the explosive bromance that is Full Auto and Scorched Earth.

When you play Two Against the World, imagine Tony and Rhodey high-fiving each other after blowing up half the Hydra base, then immediately reloading for round two. It's the equivalent of saying, "That was fun, let’s do it again!"

The Mulligan

In the opening hand, you’re basically James Rhodes checking in with Tony: "Do I have all my gear? Is the suit ready? And can I blow stuff up yet?" Your priority is finding:

  • Gauntlet Gun: Because what’s War Machine without a gun? It’s like Tony without a quip—completely unthinkable.
  • Munitions Bunker: Your ammo stash. Think of it as the giant bag of popcorn Rhodey brings to the movie—necessary for sustained action.
  • Crew Quarters or Quincarrier: The equivalent of making sure you have snacks and drinks before a long day of villain-smashing.

You think I can't hold my own?

Early Game

In the early game, you’re in setup mode—think of it like the pre-mission brief where Tony shows off his latest gadget and Rhodey nods, pretending to understand. Your goals are:

  • Playing Gauntlet Gun and Munitions Bunker to ensure War Machine is locked, loaded, and ready to rumble.
  • Deploying allies like Psylocke and Wasp because every good action hero needs backup. Plus, they can handle some of the boring stuff like crowd control.
  • Any and all of your weapons to let villains know that yes, you’re serious about this whole "explosions everywhere" thing.

Here, you’re just warming up, laying down a few well-placed hits while getting ready for the big show.

Mid Game

The mid game is where War Machine really hits his stride. Tony’s cracking jokes, Rhodey’s blowing stuff up, and the bad guys are seriously reconsidering their life choices. Focus on:

  • Blasting away with Full Auto and Scorched Earth like you're the star of your own summer blockbuster. It's all about big, flashy, and very effective moves.
  • Fusilladeis your go-to when you need that extra kick—like Tony throwing in an extra quip just to rub it in.
  • Allies like Iron Man (in a solo team-up) and #Hulk are around to help, mostly because it's more fun when the whole team gets to smash things.

And don’t forget Two Against the World—it’s your chance to say, "Okay, that was cool, but now let’s really get serious." Rhodey and Tony, readying for another round, are like two kids in a candy store with unlimited quarters.

Late Game

By the late game, you’re the action hero in the final act, where the explosions are bigger, the one-liners are sharper, and the bad guys are definitely losing. Finish strong with:

At this point, the villains are probably begging for mercy, but Rhodey and Tony are too busy having fun to hear them.

Conclusion

This deck is a celebration of teamwork, explosions, and the kind of buddy-cop shenanigans that only War Machine and Iron Man can pull off. With War Machine laying down the hurt and Iron Man backing him up, this duo will leave the battlefield looking like the aftermath of one of Tony’s wild parties, except with fewer broken windows and more defeated villains.
