True Grit - (NeXt/w7)

X-Force Mission Completed: X-themed decks for all NeXt/Wave 7 heroes in every aspect vs X-pert NeXt Evolution!

Synopsis:

• This deck uses True Grit & Askani'son to allow you to ready after exhausting/defending by clearing side schemes. Cable's Response ability is 'per phase' and not 'per turn' so this deck uses that ability in the villain phase without affecting your ability to ready in your turn.

• If you use Graymalkin to pay for True Grit and clear a side scheme, True Grit essentially pays for itself, just as Askani'son would.

• The rest of the deck utilizes Psimitar, Telekinesis & Telepathy with multiple ways to trigger including Genius, The Power of the Mind, & The Power in All of Us.

• Because we're going with The Power in All of Us to make sure we can trigger Telepathy & Telekinesis, the rest of the deck uses Basic X-allies.

• When playing your player side schemes, remember that you're going to be able to use them to ready after defending, so if at all possible, don't try to clear more than one in a phase. With Graymalkin you can play both True Grit & Askani'son if multiple side schemes are out without having to pay for either.

Cards:

Events:

• True Grit - Much like Askani'son, with Graymalkin, this card pays for itself when you clear a side scheme. It also allows you to ready in the villain phase, letting you use Cable's ability to exhaust/defend.

Player Side Schemes:

• Build Support - There are lots of options here, my priorities are usually: Graymalkin & Team-Building Exercise, then X-Bunker.

• Lock and Load - You can grab Plasma Rifle with this first, if already on the table grab Psimitar.

• Call for Backup - Usually I grab Deathlok, which will immediately allow me to pull Sidearm.

• Specialized Training - I always get Surveillance Specialist since I'm thwarting a lot and makes True Grit &Askani'son stronger.

Supports:

• Team-Building Exercise - Really helpful with playing all your Psionic cards.

• X-Bunker - Once you have some PSS built up, this card is really strong for Cable. With 40 cards and so many PSS, you've thinned your deck and can really grab anything.

Allies:

• Lots of Basic X-allies since The Power in All of Us is in this deck.

• Deathlok - can grab Sidearm & Forge's cost is basically reduced by X-Bunker until I get it on the table.

• Professor X - Always a strong card and since we're going with X-theme.

Upgrades:

• Telepathy - I really like this card for Cable since he can be exhausted and you can un-exhaust him if you don't have a Mind Scan. It also counts as him if as thwarting if you have trouble getting your Mind Scans early. Don't forget you can use The Power in All of Us for this card as well.

• Telekinesis - The same with this card and The Power in All of Us.

• Psimitar - Lots of targets in this deck. Grab it with Lock and Load if you already have Plasma Rifle on the table.

Resources:

• The Power of the Mind - With lots of Psionic targets, we don't necessarily need Strength or Energy. Instead we us this card and Genius for Telepathy.

• Genius - We skip out on Strength & Energy for .

• The Power in All of Us - You're always able to use this card for double resources given we have both Telekinesis & Telepathy in the deck.
