Butter-Cat, AKA Floating Shadow

Shadowcat is one of those heroes that until more recently was stuck in Aggression or Protection in most people's eyes. However, with the release of Psylocke, she gets to go into Justice to dip into the forgotten part of her kit: she ignores Patrol & Crisis. Justice absolutely hates these keywords, and typically lacks a bit in the DPS department. However......we have Float Like a Butterfly now. So let's start ignoring keywords and kicking some heads in.

The game plan is simple: spam confusion, unleash Kitty Karate, and then ignore Crisis and Patrol to keep the Main Scheme in check. Thanks to our natural form shenanigans, we get easy access to Lay Down the Law, and Impede can help mitigate a bad hand by giving us a reusable thwart, and Kitty has a natural 2 thwart which is always rather nice. With these tools (and a few Airwalk to help give us more cheap thwart) schemes shouldn't be a problem.

To help get value out of Float, we spam confusion. We even have confusion built into our kit....mind you it costs 3 but can buy us a round of time as another upside, so we'll take it! Upside the Head is a solid choice to help start us off and leave Confused until we need it, while Sonic Rifle is obviously good. The surprise entry here is actually Concussive Blow, which we can pay for with our Solid form!! With our other resource generators in The X-Jet and Helicarrier, we can easily slap for 3 and set up confusion, and follow up with Scare Tactic and a basic attack to deal a nice 7 damage, more than enough to whittle down a villain very quickly. Shadowcat Surprise nets even more crazy value with Float, with a free 4 damage to a confused enemy and a ready!

Our allies are mostly here to be cheap bodies, or in the case of Colossus be out honeybear and also slap a villain for 4 thanks to Float. Eros can help set up to rapidly remove a threatening minion, and Machine Man can help us sink a bad hand into a solid source of whatever we need. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with how this performed and even more surprises that no one else tried this out. Hopefully, this can turn you into a Justi-Kitty believer too!!!
