What sets Drax apart from other heroes is that what he needs to 'gear up' and get powerful is already on his character card. His main ability of gaining ATK and drawing cards just by being hit is incredibly helpful. Some people would put him with Protection to best keep him in the game, which may be a better approach. Others however, would go full steam ahead and try not to die, dealing absurd amounts of damage in the process.

General Idea: Exploit his ability to draw cards by attacking and by being attacked, and also overcome small hand size through low-cost deck.

Early Game Objectives:

Get Drax's Knife and DWI Theet Mastery out as soon as possible. Possibly Mulligan for them. Everything rests on those cards. Also Combat Training would be nice, but not as crucial. 3rd-4th Round Objectives: Get Mantis out to start healing up each round. If a First Aid pops up, grab it and use it on Mantis .

General Playstyle:

Begin player phase by attacking via base attack (Draw a card thanks to DWI Theet Mastery ) and hit for roughly six base ATK (Drax) & 3 Vengeance counters + Combat Training + Combat Knife), depending on how many vengeance counters you have. (Probably three by 2nd round) To increase the base attack further, use cards like Skilled Strike, Mean Swing, Hand Cannon, and/or Knife Leap. In later rounds, use Moment of Triumph to heal from excess damage dealt. (which means lots of much-needed healing) After attacking the enemy, there's a few cards you could use to have the enemy attack you, being "Fight Me, Coward!" or Toe to Toe. Not only do you draw a card due to Drax's ability, but these cards each open up more response to being attacked: For instance, try Parry and Payback as a combo to evade the attack, and then deal damage equal to your ATK. If you don't evade, and instead take damage from the attack, try using "You'll Pay for That!" or Counterattack to thwart or attack for equal to the amount of damage you took. By drawing cards every time he attacks or is attacked, Drax can overcome his somewhat restricting hand size of 4.

Problems with this deck (It is a work in progress):

  1. Massive deck size of 45 cards, needs to be trimmed down.
  2. He definitely needs more healing, maybe more thwart.
  3. Also, I've been thinking about adding some cards that could ready Drax for more basic attacks.
  4. Not many allies.
  5. Hasn't been updated with newer cards in a while. (About a year-ish)
