Black Widow - Protection, Tank

Deck is aims to: Boost defense to extremely high levels making BW very difficult to damage. Do consistent damage during the villain phase using cards like Counter-Punch, Electrostatic Armor, and Energy Barrier. Use Attack events and preparations to protect BW against the other pitfalls of the villain deck (high boosts, minions, Shadow of the Past, etc.) Provide additional resource assistance via Quincarrier, Nerves of Steel, and Black Widow's Gauntlet.

Key cards for early game: Synth-Suit or Armored Vest. Either or both of these are crucial for this build. Synth provides allows you to improve "Widowmaker" ability by readying your hero when a preparation is triggered.

Electrostatic Armor or Energy Barrier. Electrostatic Armor is the preferred choice as it is a permanent upgrade that doesn't require you to take damage to trigger. 1 Damage every round adds up over a multi round game. Combo with Counter-Punch.

Additional Notes: Desperate Defense ready's BW in times where Synth Suit doesn't trigger. Can also help when you get stuck with Villain and Minions attacking you.

Preparations are still a big part of this build. They trigger Synth Suit as well as the "Widowmaker" ability for BW.

This build will allow you to stay in Hero form for multiple turns. Ideally, after a few flips early, you'll likely stay in Hero form for a majority of the game. I have been able to compete with all villains with this build. Best for Multiplayer games, but can be serviceable in a solo game.
