With all these amazingly good thwart cards, starting higher defense and a huge value engine, combined with the game breakingly good Ready for a Fight; we can finally answer the question...

Is Hulk playable...? Yes. Probably not good, but we'll take what we can get at this point.

Get Their Attention and In Harm's Way are perfect for dealing with the main scheme, as well as our own player side schemes. Dr. Sinclair + Banner's Laboratory keep us high in HP if and when we need them.

Armored Vest here is a bit more playable cost wise than Defensive Conditioning and we don't really need that extra HP. You could run both but the top end of your DEF being 7 vs 8 is negligible.

The Best Offense... acts as another THW card to allow us to use our DEF to THW and also has synergy with Crushing Blow to deal more damage there.

Stand Alone might seem useless but is actually a key card because we want to hit a minion to "turn it on". With a minion out on the board we can basic defend the villain and then get a free ready from the minion's attack. The basic defense will probably be more than enough with a top end of 7 DEF which will trigger our "perfect defense" cards of Unflappable, Specialized Training, and Hard to Ignore. So if the minion doesn't have any problematic keywords we can just eat the damage from it for a long time while getting massive tempo from basic defenses against the villain.

It might seem at first that 3x In Harm's Way would be better than x2 + x2 Get Their Attention because of our hand size but actually many villains have tough and that damage is going to be wasted in the early rounds until we have our retaliate from either Ronin or Immovable Object. Also while In Harm's Way might be more effective late game, that 1 resource in the early rounds can mean that we can save something in our hand, flip down and play either the next turn or via the Quincarrier or Banner's Lab. I found it to be more consistent in the early game.

Finally, we have a few extra readies from Limitless Stamina. If you really want to cut to 40 cards then cut these. I found them useful.

There's also a very good case for this deck to use 3x Taunt, but personally I feel like the 1 cost of Taunt just ruins the effectiveness of it.
