Nebby for a Fight

Deck Summary

• Play techniques cards when flipped down for card draw, and use Ready for a Fight to flip down as often as possible
• When you get attacked, defend with Groot or Charlie-27 or Daredevil or Rockslide so they can do retaliate/other cool things when they survive
• Use Ops Room, Northstar, and or Stronger Together to make sure your allies don't die when they get hit

Groot loves the Ops Room

So the seed for this deck is that Ops Room plays really well with Groot since he can take a lot of hits thanks to his healing + damage reduction from the support. Add to that Hangar Bay so he can defend twice per villain phase and you've got a really consistent way to tank attacks for the table. And with Northstar and Stronger Together you can even tank villain attacks without risk of losing Groot!

Why Nebula? I dunno. She's fun!

You could put that combo into any guardian deck, but I though Nebula would be a fun choice! Since we're in protection, we can give Nebula Ready for a Fight and Hidden Base to support flipping a ton, then round it out with some other allies who like to defend, and allies that are just guardian locked. The use Render Medical Aid plus Med Team to top off your defender allies if needed.

When to use this deck?

This is a good deck if the table needs some defense, it can fall a little flat if there are heroes who want to take damage or defend for themselves. Nebula as always works best at higher player counts so she can use Lethal Intent off turn before she's forced to discard them.

This is also a good deck to use if you're doing trait combos, like with this Hercules deck from Man-is-Obsolete https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/61650/herc-s-long-distance-relationships-coh-2026-1.0. Guardians cards haven't come out in a long time so if you are looking to revisit some of those older cards this is fun to bring!
