"This deck Bamfs! its way to victory with huge thwart capability while keeping the villain's attacks at bay" ~D.M. Tip
On My Honor
The tenants of any good scout are the foundation for which they live and thrive. The foundation to this deck is Honor, of course, but also your Prehensile Tail and the X-Jet](/card/32020) to fuel the unique resource requirements of many of its thwarts. Sense of Justice rounds the foundation out to easily hit multiple thwart events per turn.
I Will Do My Best
Keep Bamf! on the villain each turn to minimize the damage you take and flip down as necessary to grab more. It's important to keep track of how many Bamf!s are still in your deck so you don't flip down when you could instead use Rapid Teleportation to find one.
Use basic thwarting from your hero and allies to set up a clean Even the Odds once multiple side schemes are in play. Three Steps Ahead is also great here for setting that up and Operative Skill and/or Passion for Justice with an Overwatch starts to push the limits of thwarting. Don't forget that these boosts and multipliers are great for Scout Ahead too.
To Serve God and My Country
In a pinch, you can adapt your strategy and use Bamf! to protect another hero. If you do, you will likely be taking bigger hits and can lean into Kurt's Chapel for extra recovery and support your team with the extra card.
Nightcrawler gives you the tools to survive while providing great natural thwarting capability. If you have threat under control, pivot to damage with your hero events to help prevent the game from stagnating.
I really love Nightcrawler because he has a flexible kit that feels good to build on. Once you start thinking of how efficient Bamf! is to prevent damage, it's easier to try and always keep one on the villain and pay for the occasional kicker from your hero events.
Shoutout to Winning Hand podcast for the deck prompt! If you try this out or like the build, let me know in the comments! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Peace!
