VERSION 2.0

Some adjustments to the deck, as I found version 1 still was problematic in solo.

Essentially, the concept remains the same, with the emphasis now on allies and readying.

SUMMARY OVERVIEW

Design

Maximise copies of priority cards;

Aspect events cards focus on thwart

Key Concepts

Utilise Soup Kitchen to play and reduce costs of supports and allies;

Increased ways to ready, particularly since using Soup Kitchen exhausts Falcon;

Prioritise ATK for Falcon's basic action , hence priority to ready Falcon, as he will most likely use Soup Kitchen when he can, and will defend periodically;

Recommended

Mulligan for Soup Kitchen but it's not essential to get first turn;

Designate one ally (e.g Blade) to act as trigger for Earth's Mightiest Heroes;

Don't be afraid to play Talon Line to use immediately (to ready)

Sam

DESIGN

The beauty of Falcon is that you can really manipulate the encounter card and boost icons, so there should never be any trepidation in flipping down to alter-ego.

Down Time has been paired with Soup Kitchen in this deck, to ensure you REC for a decent amount when you also use Soup Kitchen. I initially remember thinking, "...why does it say exhaust to recover...you do that anyway..." but in hindsight, it is a useful action, as there are some supports put there that ask you to exhaust to trigger the action - meaning you can't recover on that turn. Like any hearty bowl of stew, Soup Kitchen replensihes Sam but also aids him in gaining assistance from the community.

Quincarrierand Helicarrier assist in paying costs down the line, so any one of these played early, can quickly snowball cost reduction every time you flip down and have one of these cards in your hand.

Mentioned earlier, I have added multiple copies of Justice Served, Ready to Rumble and Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Keep playing Justice Served and Ready to Rumble when you can. One of Falcon's shortcomings is that he's exhausted when you want to do stuff. Hopefully these upgrades and Earth's Mightiest Heroes mitigate this.

KEY CONCEPTS

As mentioned, the key concept is to use Soup Kitchen to get out your support engines, but also the opportunity to include some expensive allies.

Speed is a great ally who can thwart alot, so I've inlcuded him in alongside his brother Wiccan. For someone like Falcon, who can see the top card of the encounter deck, you no longer have to feel that Wiccan is 'whiffin'...!

Spider-Man is also expensive, but once played, he's very strong. Eitehr have him remove threat off Superpower Training r some other side scheme, and Spidey can also contribute to the attack.

Yellowjacket isn't too expensive - Manifold too - but he also is good to hunt out a copy of Justice Served

RECOMMENDED

Falcon's hero upgrades are varied and useful in varying scenarios. I play Aerial Evacuation and Aerial Recon frequently, as well as Battlefield Awareness as previously mentioned.

I've learned to not shy away from Talon Line and use it freely rather than leave it on the table and wait from 'a moment' that it's drastically needed.

I've mentioned Draw Their Fire and for this deck, Vibranium Microweave isn't a priority either. With Down Time and you wanting to use Soup Kitchen where you can, more often that not it's totally fime to eat an attack...or chump block...or use Aerial Evacuation.

As long as you use Soup Kitchen to build out your supports quickly, then the rest of the game will purr....or in this instance...soar like an eagle...!
