This deck was created after a chat in the “Dov’era Gondor” (Italy) group after playing Challenge No. 11 of 2025 against Mojo.

The idea (or the challenge) was to create a deck that would perform well against all three scenarios on expert. The result is what you see here, although, to be fair, against Mojo it’s probably not the best possible build. The deck is red and aims to deal as much damage as possible (even 20 in a single turn, as I’ll explain later), and it performed really well against Magog. With 11 threat tokens at 8, I managed to defeat the criminal, but the real success was also beating the strongest minion (name) in the same turn and taking a 10-damage hit from Magog, which earned me a nice amount of tokens.

Phoenix requires careful management of her Phoenix Force, especially because on offense there won’t be many chances to remove threat. Keep her restrained as much as possible to take advantage of her 3 thwart, and when you’re ready, unleash her unleashed force.

To do this, you have two paths: make use of her events Attacco Telecinetico and Scarica Psichica together with her base attack of 3, or focus on building her weapons and then use Pioggia di Fuoco to deal 9 damage, possibly managing to defeat the side scheme Keep Up the Pressure to increase damage instances by 1.

Phoenix’s absolute weak point is her nemesis. If you can, try to manage it with multiple villains, though against Mojo this will probably not be possible. The schemes will advance quickly, and the third stage has 25 hit points. Managing everything with few opportunities to thwart won’t be easy. You can try modifying the deck by adding allies like Mimic and Nick Fury to stun and draw new cards, buying yourself some time. You could also replace Impatto Micidiale with “ATTACK” events to more quickly take advantage of Test the Defense and squeeze out an additional 5 damage.

With this deck, I also managed to defeat Venom and Mysterio. Against Venom in particular, I managed to beat him with 20 damage in a single turn, without using weapons, simply by leveraging events, the Cyclops ally, and a basic attack.

Allies

I chose to include only a few allies, but ones that are useful to the cause. Forge has many chances to stay alive for a long time, especially if you manage to play Scudo Telecinetico to keep her in play. Bug is extremely useful and can also survive for a few turns. Professor X, together with a Trucchetto Telepatico, can be useful even against stalwart villains or can allow Phoenix to activate twice.

Conclusions

All in all, feel free to play it in whatever way you find most appropriate depending on the villain, but I’m pretty confident that you’ll deal a lot of pain to quite a few of them even just like this!
