Way of the Spider

A few years back, marvel comics did a story arc where Peter lost his spider sense and had to train with Shang Chi to develop the skills to compensate for this loss. They called his new martial arts style the Way of the Spider.

This is somewhat of a theme deck, using Honed Technique and focusing on spider-man's quick wit and martial art skill amplifying his already formidable strength and agility.

Make no mistake though, this deck is also an aggression powerhouse. Peter Parker is uniquely equipped to generate lots of mental resources for Honed Technique. Between his alter ego ability, Web-Shooter, Ingenuity, and access to Quincarrier, he can easily get honed technique down, and in the following turns play multiple attack events triggering the extra damage every time. With so much damage coming from multiple events, you're free to defend with that juicy +3 defense every turn and grab an extra card from spider sense while you're at it. Throw in Backflip and Aunt May and you have a deck that deals top tier damage and has premium survivability. Thwarting is another story. Into the Fray can clear a lot of threat, but this is more of a bonus than a focus. Bring a friend in Justice or Leadership to deal with the schemes.
