This is the first Magik deck I have built and it worked out nicely. Magik is a hero who I played as a pre-con, shelved, thought I should come back to it someday, and then never did. Now I am finally getting around to it and seeing what fun I have missed.
With her divination of the top of your deck, effects which discard from the top of your deck become guaranteed hits. Cosmo, Feral, Legion, and especially Wolfsbane become very powerful. And because those four discard from the top of your deck, as can Scrying, you stand to benefit from White Fox and Digging Deep as well. Digging Deep itself likes to sit on top of your deck as it turns on Magik's stat boosts from her upgrades.
I am a true solo, standard difficulty player. I have played between 6 and 8 games with the deck and -- I kid you not-- I have revealed Shadow of the Past in every game. Often it happened early game. But in every game, even when he came out in round 2, I was able to take out Belasco on the turn he came out, and in most games I was also able to clear the Ruler of Limbo side scheme on that turn also. So the deck can certainly handle itself.
I had Magik attacking most of the time, although sometimes she thwarted if she had her crown in play. Defending with Magik was uncommon but did occur sometimes when undefended attacks were untenable but I did not have other options and I needed to protect a key ally. Colossus certainly does his defensive work.
