A Protection deck that is not designed to protect the hero in any way. The goal is to have the villain attack Deadpool multiple times per round to trigger his hero ability. Taunt lets you draw cards, Bait and Switch thwarts the main scheme, Counter-Punch damages the villain. Return the Favor pairs with Get Behind Me!
It’s essentially a Protection rush deck, which is crazy, just like Deadpool.

Oct 15, 2025Seems like a fun idea. Very scenario dependent, (Like against Spiral I feel it would be really really bad.) but in the right scenario, fun. I do wonder, what is the use of Change of Fortune? Unless I am missing something, I don't see much Villain phase killing. |
Oct 15, 2025Definitely needs more thwarting. Cable became an MVP to clear side schemes. Counter-Punch can be used on minions, triggering Change of Fortune, but yeah, it could easily be replaced with something, probably Moira. |
Oct 16, 2025Unless I am misreading the card, which is possible, you have to defend to use counterpunch, which I rarely want to do against minions. |
This is an interesting idea that I have toyed with but could never quite get to work in practice as well as it seemed on paper. How has it worked in your testing?
