Psylocke has a very particular set of skills.
The conceit of this deck was to boost her basic ATK stat and never use the basic attack action. She can tutor both Brute Force and Fluid Motion from her deck using Training Regimen since both have the Skill trait.
With Combat Training, Now I'm Mad, and three copies of Brute Force in play, plus both energy upgrades flipped to Psi-Katana, playing Quickstrike does 8 damage without discarding Brute Force. She can then exhaust to Smash the Problem, clearing any scheme of 8 threat instantly. In the villain phase, The Best Defense... will defend against 8 damage.
Fluid Motion could potentially boost things further, but in my single play I was never able to get off another Attack event before Quickstrike. I might take out Fluid Motion entirely or swap out one copy for X-Gene to try to play her signature attacks to bring Fluid Motion online for the aggression events.
This deck was tested once on standard against Sandman and the Crazy Gang, simply because that was set up when inspiration for the deck struck me. In that scenario, Psylocke even exhausted once to clear 6 sand counters off of Sandman's City Streets environment. I thought a fun finish would be to polish off Sandman with an 8 damage basic attack, but I managed to have Quickstrike in hand to end it without resorting to anything so...basic.
Very Cool. I built a similar deck that I stole off here for Hawkeye years ago, I think Brute Force Arrow or something. This actually looks much better than that with her built in flexibility!
I will agree with Fluid Motion, I ended up running a single copy, because getting value twice a round was too rare.
