Nova | Unleash Diversity Force

Assemble the most diverse Nova Force in history!

I mean, this is the only Nova Strength in Diversity deck on here at the time of publishing so that is actually an accurate statement.

As for the deck itself, pretty straightforward. Play diversely traited allies to boost the strength of the ridiculous Strength In Diversity and win games.

That’s not to say it isn’t without some cool tricks.

Firstly you wanna be sure to get Ms Marvel on the table. Make it a priority. She can recur SiD meaning you’re guaranteed to be able to play it every turn. Feel free to hold it til the next turn if you need to. It’s worth it. The Reinforced Suit is for her.

Hugin and Mugin can ready Ms Marvel to get another use of SiD that turn if she has the health, and is a nice blocker and then later target for Make the Call. Don’t worry too much about trying to keep an assembled crew in place at all times. There are plenty of allies that can fill the diversity quota so you can block when needed.

Black Panther can retrieve SiD or Make the Call.

Grant is a cheap diversity hire (and makes it into all of my decks these days)

Vivian can be super clutch at times and brings a couple traits

No Nova deck is complete without Moon Girl

Domino is great for filtering a spare card to the next hand while searching for Unleash Nova Force.

Speaking of Unleash, when used with Strength in Diversity you wanna be sure to only kill one thing with it, and then use any spare diversity removal to set things up for easy Nova pings. Killing something with SiD does count for the purposes of Unleash, but you’ll miss out on getting the benefits multiple times if you kill more than one thing.

SiD tends to run out of threat to remove so we have a few player side schemes to keep the targets up for Unleash.

Call for Backup is great for getting Kamala out, but Black Panther, Domino, or Prof are also fine targets if you’ve already played her.

Rally the Troops is nice for healing Ms Marvel and Domino, keeping them out as long as possible.

And in a deck with this much threat removal you might as well use Specialized Training. I like to grab Combat Specialist.

Strength in Diversity is such a fun card, and can be played pretty much anywhere, but I do think it’s particular good for Nova with his economy that allows him to quickly play allies, as well as his access to event recursion. Plus, if there’s any downside to SiD it’s just that it discourages tribal builds which are usually very powerful, but that doesn’t really exist for the Champions so no worries there. It’s also nice that it has a wild resource icon so that’s 3 more chances to have a wild in your opening hand to pull out the Helmet.

(This was designed for solo but I went ahead and tagged multiplayer because it certainly works, but there are diminishing returns as you add players due to the added Alliance cost of Strength In Diversity)
