I built this deck specifically for a 3 player gaming session where the other 2 players have only played the game 1 time, and that was a year ago. I wanted to be able to handle all the threat and let them go all out in doing damage. That being said I included The Raft because the intent is to play heavy minion scenarios, but it’s one of the first I’d take out if trying to slim this deck to 40.
The player side schemes were specifically selected to help the Thor player by choosing Build Support during setup to get Asgard down asap. The idea being Thor keeps the aerial trait by leaving Mjolnir in play, and can consistently play Dive Bomb with that increased hand size. Spamming that is also why I included Keep Up the Pressure with the intent of saving that until the team was ready for a final push.
Obviously Build Support works well in any multiplayer game when players have Helicarrier.
Children of the Atom is there as a back up way to trigger Gunboat Diplomacy in case you’re only drawing X-Force allies and to be able to slap Mission Training on them.
[Bishop](/card/37011 is an ideal candidate for both Mission Training & Gunboat Diplomacy. Those two things keep him active while staying on the table long enough to get 2 of his fully charged attacks plus 2 thwarts.
Truthfully White Queen could likely be subbed for a more consistent ally, but I just wanted to include her.
Resource wise I tried to keep it somewhat evenly spread amongst the three in order to maximize potential uses of Husk, but I did lean a little heavier on the mental resources to maximize Multitasking. The Power of Justice is a “nice to have” for the few expensive Justice cards, however the main reason for their inclusion was the additional Wild resources. Having that extra flex for Husk & Multitasking are super helpful.
Wolfsbane has the potential to hit the card draw kicker with the emphasis on Events in the deck. While Deadpool can easily stay on the table since the acceleration token is easy to mitigate with the rest of the deck (in multiplayer).
