Remember 3 things:
Fold. Scoop. Loop.
Fold:
This deck is designed around the new ally Manifold who can search for a player side scheme when he enters play. Silk just so happens to have her own in kit PSS...
Scoop:
Get the Scoop is the next card in our 3 word/card mantra. This PSS allows us to look at the top 2 cards of the encounter deck and tuck one underneath Silk.
Loop:
Now we are going to loop both Manifold and Get The Scoop through Chance Encounter. This is surprisingly easy to do as Manifold only has 2 health. Have him knock himself out from consequential, then put chance on GTS. Clear it with Silk to get Manifold back and then have him thwart it down to 2. Next turn have him thwart the main or attack knocking himself out, use Silk to clear GTS again and bring him right back.
That can't be it right?!?!
While that is a really fun loop and a core of the deck we are going to be turning this consistent stream of side schemes into profit as well.
The Full Story:
Since we have the ability to loop our PSS we want to profit from that.
Skilled Investigator nets us a card draw for defeating a side scheme.
Justice Served gets us a ready when we clear the last of a scheme.
Turn the Tide lets us deal 3 damage to an enemy when we clear the last of a scheme.
So Silk clearing GTS can generate a ready, card draw, grabbing Manifold from chance, a tucked card and 3 damage potentially. Bonus if you use turn the tide to clear a minion, you'll tuck a 2nd card.
Combine this with Silk's upgrades of Organic Webbing, Spider Claws and Spider Reflexes.
Organic allows us to ready by discarding a tucked card which we can afford since we are continuously cycling cards.
Claws grant us more attack power based on the number of tucked cards from the same encounter set. Stack up villain specific cards to get up to 6 attack!
Reflexes does the same as Claws but for defense, with 4 tucked Silk can defend for 7! Plus after the defense, she gets to tuck the top card of the encounter deck.
Face the Past helps accelerate setup with the 3 card draw and gives us a minion for Silk to tuck.
Build Support is here for Albert Moon so we can heal/tuck more cards or J. Jonah Jameson who can help with side scheme threat removal.
Ingenuity has to be played in AE but generates a resource.
We are also going to generate card draw from Web of Life and Destiny as each time a WW ally leaves play we get to draw a card. We have 6 allies in the deck and SP//dr can be looped by dealing excess consequential to her.
Since we are focusing on clearing side schemes we have Under Surveillance to put on the main scheme and give us breathing room. This is especially great for scenarios like Mister Sinister who have a very low threat threshold.
Quick Quip is here to hit a confuse if need be for a safer flip down. This allows us to take advantage of her great AE ability and draw 2 cards then flip back to hero with an 8 card hand.
Overall this deck has been a ton of fun and really strong. It generates a lot of damage due to the consistent readies and card draw along with tucking cards to boost Silk's attack. I would love to hear any feedback or experiences with the deck!
I think it'd be great to pair with a player using Mission Leader, and/or someone needing consistent top of the encounter deck knowledge (Scarlet Witch, the upcoming Falcon, a pool player using War).
