Grey Matter

A simple grey deck for Ms. Grey herself! Not a lot to say, except there's lots of Psionic and X-Men cards in grey and Phoenix likes both of those traits. Between the energy cards and various discounts, this is a very rich deck. Telepathy and Telekinesis can actually get some value and it's possible to stay Restrained longer, if that suits you. Restrained Phoenix pairs nicely with Utopia, since getting an ally on the board effectively means you get to close out a side-scheme, letting you buy time as you build up.

42 cards means this deck could be leaner. Telepathy and Telekinesis are the seemingly obvious choices for the chopping block, but this deck tends to have leftover resources and those cards are a nice resource sink. The X-Jet and Team-Building Exercise, together, might be economic overkill. You could probably tailor this to the villain by removing your two least favorite allies.

A couple of final things I observed in testing:

1. Legion's response ability (with a ), Psimitar, and Telekinesis gives this deck some consistent indirect damage options for dealing with retaliate.

2. Triage, X-Mansion, X-Men Instruction, Cerebro, and even Telekinetic Shield provide a lot of control over which allies you have on the board. Probably old news to most of you, but I only picked up the game a few months back, and I was surprised by how "leadership-y" this deck felt. Gambit with a 3-boost icon card, Legion, and Colossus can put in a lot of work.
