Drop Kick Stun-Lock (March '25 Update)

This is just an updated version of my August 2021 deck, which uses Drop Kick every turn to keep the villain stunned.

Key Cards

Your resource generators (Biokinetic Polymer Suit and Martial Prowess) & Helicarrier take top priority so you can play Drop Kick without spending any cards from hand but still get the "kick" for only spending resources. Then exhaust to return Drop Kick to hand:

• 4 Damage (6 if you have Embiggen! in play)
• Stun the villain
• Draw a card
• Get Drop Kick back for next turn

The Bruno Plan

While I don't use Bruno Carrelli to set up a crazy combo here as I did with my Ms. Marvel Lays a Trap Deck, he is a great place to hold certain cards for later use:

• Holding a Drop Kick is good for two reasons:
  • "Draw" it on demand...
  • It has a resource if you need it to play a different copy of Drop Kick
• Two cards which go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly are
  • Toe to Toe to defeat an ally and...
  • Chase Them Down to remove some threat afterwards.
• A card which is nice to hold until you need it is "Go for Champions!". "Draw" it from Bruno when you can't get the villain stunned, or you have multiple CHAMPION characters in play at once.

Some suggested changes

I never felt the need to play Superpower Training, so it could easily be replaced by a third Press the Advantage or Toe to Toe

Hulk can be replaced primarily because there are more resources in the deck than any others. Spider-Girl could replace him at the same cost, and she synergizes with the Toe to Toe (because the chosen enemy resolving an attack against you isn't a cost, so they would remove their stun) + Chase Them Down combo.

You could also consider replace him with either Lockjaw or White Fox because they can get discarded from the top of your deck with Kamala's Teen Spirit Action.
