Jan 07, 2025Hi, really appreciate the feedback. Good shout on Mean Swing- that was on oversight! I hear you know the 50 card thing, it tends to be my go to, but maybe I need to rethink that. I'll do another version soon. I think I'll keep Power of Aggression; I think there is (and will be) cards to warrant having it. I think 7 allies is a little too much; I typically hover at 5 as otherwise you can never pay for them all, but point taking on low Def so needing blockers. Thanks again. |
I played with this deck yesterday. I was playing 2-handed alongside Quicksilver (Justice) vs Ultron. I'm sorry to say I found this deck very difficult. Iron Man needs his tech upgrades and having a 50 card deck made them too difficult to find. Iron Man also has a low DEF so he needs a way to defend, and there aren't enough allies here to do that. The Mean Swing card can't be played at all since there are no Weapon upgrades in the deck. Power of Aggression felt like a waste when I had it in my hand since almost all the Aggression cards in this deck have a cost of 1 or 0. In the end, Iron Man got wiped out by Ultron double-activating just about the time I flipped Ultron to Stage 2. Even though his tech upgrades were giving him extra HP, he didn't have anything to block with and he just kept taking damage, Amazingly, Quicksilver pulled out the win, doing 40 damage to Ultron over the course of 3 rounds. Quicksilver finished the game with 1 HP and 4 drones engaged with him, so it was a slim margin of victory! Overall, I'd say the deck could be improved by slimming it down to 40 cards, at least 8 of which should be allies.
