Drawn Sword

Here's one more Nightcrawler deck, this time Justice, and I couldn't resist making a thematic Excalibur deck since Children of the Atom opened up so much deckbuilding!

The allies here all were part of Excalibur in the early days, including Daytripper and Moira MacTaggert! We have two Honorary X-Men so Captain Britain and Daytripper can benefit from Children of the Atom. Speaking of which, we have three copies of Children of the Atom because of how cruicial it is get everything online.

Our main source of thwarting is Gunboat Diplomacy and two copies of One Way or Another help make sure we don't run out of thwarting. Mission Training helps push the thwarting up.

While not dripping with maximum efficiency, this deck can hold its own and feels quite thematic. I had a lot of fun with this one, and hope you do as well!

@Wmfrpa25 The cool thing with Nightcrawler is you really can't go wrong. I'd say in this build, probably Defense or Thwart. You can basic thwart for three and a card. Or, if you don't have a ton of allies out and have to use Kurt to do Gunboat Diplomacy, you can use it to buff your defense to Bamf! and draw a card

What a cool concept! I love that NC can stick around quite a bit longer than other heroes because of Bamf! and not need his allies to block villain attacks. Theme is on target and bonus points for a potential 8/8 Gunboat Diplomacy with Brian and Pete + Mission Training.

I playtested the deck and it turned to be one of the most fun builds I played for Nightcrawler. I would do minor changes to adapt it to my playstyle, but I'm loving it. In general I would say that Gunboat Diplomacy is a very fun card to build around it. Every single deck I played with it has been a lot of fun.

Yea I love gunboat diplomacy. As someone that plays multiplayer often it is fun seeing how high we can get it. Awesome you brought together the whole Excalibur team!

Not much, your build really works as it is, just to adapt it to my preferences I'd swap two copies of Children of the Atom for one Build Support and Utopia. Build support can fetch you Children of it has not shown already, and utopia sinergizes very well with it, as it triggers after the ally enters play (so it already has the X-Men trait even if it is not printed)
