X-23 games go well you can get Honey Badger in play with a training upgrade on her and use Game Time.
Adding in other X-Men allies with Gunboat Diplomacy gives you another strong way to deal with challenging board states if you don't have Honey Badger out.
X-23 works well with Gunboat Diplomacy as she is able to defend (and ready if she takes damage) and has a fair amount of healing in her kit you so you won't have to throw your allies in front of the villain often.
In addition to being great for Honey Badger, Mission Training is great for whatever X-Men ally you plan to use Gunboat Diplomacy with as it helps keep that ally on the table and increases the effectiveness on Gunboat Diplomacy too.
Being able to confuse the villain allows you to take advantage of Laura Kinney's massive recovery and really helps if you are hit with Self-Isolation. So Dazzler, Professor X, Upside the Head, and Sonic Rifle are there for that purpose.
Float Like a Butterfly gives you added reason to confuse the villain.
Finally if you want to cut down to 40 cards the card I'd most likely cut us X-Mansion

Feb 13, 2025 Weedaxe · 1 I like it! Have you considered making room for Chance Encounter? I'm making a deck like this, and I'm currently trying to cut it down, but I have a hard time giving up Chance Encounter. It's just an extra chance to play Honey Badger or Professor X when needed :)
Feb 14, 2025 gamesncardsmitch · 422 `@Weedaxe` Chance Encounter would be a good addition but I decided against it because I'd want to then add One Way or Another and some play player side schemes so it more consistently had a target and then want to add Skilled Investigator but didn't want the deck to get too large. If I were to add in Chance Encounter and focus more on side schemes I'd let the focus on confusion go and cut Sonic Rifle, Upside the Head, Dazzler, and/or Float Like a Butterfly.
