Cheesy Snow Cones
Snow "Cones" rather than "Clones" because I heard Nelson say that and it's funny!
Cheesy snow cones sounds unappetizing, but this is just a deck I built to cheese the Temporal mod set which came in The Once of Future Kang scenario pack.
See it played against Expert Taskmaster here
I'll use One Way or Another to grab Time Portal because it only has a threat of 2 and is shuffled into the encounter deck after being defeated.
Chance Encounter can help me get extra Utopia readies, and Justice Served can get me readies too!
The Temporal mod set
Temporal is a 7-card mod set, 6 of which are minions. So it's fun to play around with in Justice, but is also nice in aggression builds which take advantage of minion slaying.
That following looks too combo-y, but I've definitely pulled it off in this deck! It's also a lot of fun, BUT don't forget you have 6 additional minions in the encounter deck, none of which are your run-of-the-mill minion!
Some fun cheese:
- Attack the Villain with Iceman ad place a Frostbite
- Use One Way or Another to grab Time Portal and draw three cards
- Attach Chance Encounter to it
- Clear it with Chill Out! and place another Frostbite
- Shuffle Time Portal back into the encounter deck
- Ready Iceman with Justice Served
- Grab a Snow Clone (or any ally) off of Chance Encounter
- Draw another card with Skilled Investigator
- Attack the Villain again, adding a third Frostbite
- Play Snow Clone and ready with Utopia
- Attack the Villain again, adding a fourth Frostbite
- Attack with Snow Clone and it doesn't take Consequential damage
- Flip down to alter-ego and shuffle 4 Ice cards back into your deck
- Smile as the villain schemes with -4 SCH :)
