The premise of the deck keeping your fellow x friends on ice in the cryo lab (Med Lab to bring them back to the fight while also utilizing Utopia for extra readies.
Shout out to @corbintm in the discord for the idea to bring Hope into the deck.
The allies:
Beak removes threat equal to amount of xmen allies in play. He's one of our main targets for med lab as he's consistent thwart everytime with the amount of allies this deck plays.
Forge brings us Utopia or the x-jet.
Triage heals 2 everytime he enters play. Another good target for med lab in scenarios where you're taking quite a bit of damage.
Pixie pulls an xmen ally from your discard. Another great target for med lab as she can consistently gives you an ally to trigger Utopia.
Mirage is another great target for med lab as she can stun an enemy who's scheme is less than her thwart. With frostbite in play you can guarantee that she will hit a stun.
Professor X brings thwart power and confuse/ready.
Angel is just a low cost ally to trigger utopia who provides decent Attack.
Hope Summers will trigger Utopia once she hits the table and can grab a Superpower card from the deck. In set up she can grab your cryokinetic upgrade. Late game when you flip you can put your Superpower events back into your deck based on the number of frostbite you had in play. She can then trigger this from coming into play through med lab.
The snow clones provide consistent damage and can be recurred when you flip to AE.
The supports:
Utopia provides an extra ally slot as long as all your allies are X-Men and gives a ready when one enters play.
Team-Building Exercise cuts the cost down by one on cards that share a trait which in hero would be any ice or x-men card..
Med Lab is what the deck is built around and when a character leaves from consequential, they go here. Flip to AE and the next turn you can bring them back.
The X-Jet provides a wild resource.
Moira MacTaggert can only be played in AE but is important since we flip alot. When you flip from AE to hero you get to draw a card. This is especially helpful early for setup.
Command Team provides a ready for an ally. This can allow your clones to get a 2nd activation or push a character to hit their consequential so you can trigger med lab.
The upgrades:
Cryokinetic Perception is the most important as it lets you draw a card when you attack or defend. Then if it has the ice trait you can ready up.
Deft Focus cuts the cost of the next Superpower card by one. This deck is loaded with them.
Power Belt gives +3 hit points and generates a wild resource for an ice card.
Honorary X-Men gives you the x-men trait even in AE so you can ready from Utopia.
Player Side schemes:
Call for Backup lets you search the deck/discard for an ally and put them into play. Note this triggers Utopia. I wouldn't grab hope, pixie or beak as their abilities only trigger from being played from your hand.
Superpower Training is to get cryokinetic online quicker.
Build Support is to get med lab or Utopia on the board quicker. If you draw it late game you can grab a command team as well.
Once set up, we're cycling allies through the cryo lab and using our resource generators to play events.
Common turns late game are pulling an ally from med lab. Flipping to hero, attack with iceman potentially ready with cryokinetic. Play another ally from hand to trigger utopia and another ready. Then play an event like arctic attack or chill out using resource generators.
Been having a lot of fun with the new hero and this deck has been alot of fun to pilot. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
