Float like a butterfly

A guardian protection deck without Shake it Off? A flipping hero without Perseverance? What is True Grit doing here? My next "off meta" hero/aspect combo comes to you with this interesting Nebula deck. Like most heroes in the MTS cycle, I didn't play a lot of Nebula. All that means is I didn't realize how versatile she is.

One of the weaknesses of protection is thwarting so how to solve that? Why True Grit and Jump Flip. With her 2/2/2 stat line, Nebula has just enough thwart to put True Grit on the acceptable line for thwarting. Using Nerves of Steel or Nebula's Ship you can always make sure to hit the kicker of Jump Flip giving her 4 thwart to spread around without using her activation. If you have Unyielding Persistence or Evasive Maneuvering out makes this combo all the more potent. As well Flow Like Water for some chip damage.

C.I.T.T. is included to help smooth out the awkward turns when protection has a couple cards they can't pay for because they used resources on the villain turn. Admittedly 2 recourses for a ready isn't great but it beats having to pitch cards. Though you could switch out the allies for more the more common guardian allies (Starhawk Groot Gamora) and replace C.I.T.T with Knowhere for a card draw.

I included Crew Quarters as I usually do with flipping heroes but I didn't find myself using it much. Feel free to switch it and Indomitable as really this should be a no exhaust deck. Preemptive Strike would be a good choice since it will also give another target for Flow Like Water. Or you could do the boring route and include Perseverance.
